I’m a long time Fan and as such I’m always excited to see what changes they do. FF has never kept the same style or system from it’s Core Numbered Series(Core as in not including Sequals and Spinoffs). So anyone who says they’re a fan but only IF they do something the same way they've already done it, doesn't sound

Nomura was removed from the project some time ago. Tabata is the guy who has since taken the reigns.

I would personally disagree with some of your points. I don’t thing going Back to Turn Based will make it great again, and which Turn Based to you mean? Pure Turn Based aka FF1/2/3/10 or the ATB Turn Based found in 4/5/6/7/8/9/13?

Which is a problem of the demo admittedly. Using the Joy Stick with the Attack Button allows for another 4 variations of attacks including dashes that consume less MP and can seamlessly move from Offense to Defense back to Offense if you time it right. I also noticed that Warp Strike gains power depending on the

I’m sure they’ll hit a stable 30 for a majority of the game, on release I’m expecting a few area’s to chug along that will get a quick patch done within a few days.

Still wasn't as bad as Mystic Quest though...that's the bar for horrible Final Fantasy titles, numbered or not.

*Whispers* Do you think he found out about the Back Dashes, Charged Attacks and Weapon Skills?

I personally liked 8's magic system once I got the hang of it. It was different and everyone has a different take on it.

To be fair the Platinum Demo was build stand alone from the actual game. And I’m pretty certain they did it in short order. I personally haven’t noticed any frame rate issues(I’ve been looking and just don’t see any, then again I’m legally blind without my contacts so take it with a grain of salt.)

I liked the L’cei and Fal’Cei stuff, but it was just horribly explained. I mean the whole plot of them bringing down Cocoon was just unnecessarily complicated...

I think this game is a turning point for sure. Either it goes one direction and reignites the passion of it's fan base and reclaims the series standing...or it fails miserably and Final Fantasy dies. I don't think they'll do another one if they get a reception like 13.

I’m not even going to deny that I’m picking this up at a Midnight Release if there is one and taking the following Day off of work. Not because I think it’s going to be an instant classic, but if this game is a complete flop it WILL be the Last Final Fantasy we’ll ever see...I’ll need to play through it as a kind of

Not to mention in 13 you don’t even Level Up until about 3-4 hours into the game. It was just a bad design from start to finish, with a very convoluted storyline.

I'm not the one who decided how to measure it :). I can only be so hyped, do I think it'll be a good game? Yes. Do I think it will be an immeasurable masterpiece? No, seems insane to assume that. I just want a fun game that I can sink countless hours into with a story that draws me in.

There’s a really good interview with Tabata where he outlines the 3 Requirements for a Core Final Fantasy game, and admits himself that since 7 that SE never really met all 3 of them. It’s in the Game Informer Interview and worth a read since it also details the first chapter of XV(And no Chapter doesn’t mean DLC to

It’s 10 million in the lifetime of the Title. 7 to date has sold 10 million and that games been around for what...15-20 years? XV could reach that same number in that time span.

Some fans hated the Action Combat, although this is the first attempt at Action Combat in a Final Fantasy Core Title. 13 hardly counts, it was an ATB System all the way, just with one controllable character and no MP management that relied on spamming attacks.

If this was the case it would be Turn Based in another Tolkein Fantasy Setting.

Well the Child Noctis combat isn't even in the final Game, only Adult Noctis's is. In which case it's more than Hold O to win, there are additional abilities. The demo was poor because it did Nothing To Explain The Additional Abilities.

Final Fantasy 8 had a Car.
