Female SM here (but army, sorry!) and my experience has also been positive. The most I have to deal with in regards to gender discrimination is having to listen to men bitch about things like how much easier the PT test is for women, or how my promotion is guaranteed. 🙄

I wish there was a good way to offer this. I would totally buy my single friends a life gift or something. But how does one go about offering/explaining? “Hey I got you this fancy kitchen tool because you haven’t gotten married yet” sounds incredibly patronizing.
