I think it’s a bit different to occupy a parking lot belonging to a business not open to the public (HRL Labs or Pepperdine) vs. a shopping center parking lot.

This is probably the biggest location you’ll find in Malibu, parking-wise. The weird thing is that there’s plenty of parking. The shopping center spans two sides of the street. There’s always parking on the other side. Even if the main lot is full, it’s a 1 min walk at best from that side.

LA Cars and Coffee is held at Griffith Park and a coffee truck shows up and sells very reasonably priced coffee and snacks, so that’s not an issue. If that’s something that can be set up, this would actually work, although I’m not sure how many celebs want to hang out in a high school parking lot vs. a fancy shopping

The weird part is that the enforcement has actually caused more disruption to the businesses. People used to show up by 7:30 a.m. and leave by 9-9:30. Sone (a tiny percentage) of businesses would start opening up around 9 or so and the people visiting would patronize them. I’m not sure Starbucks is complaining, with

Everyone always forgets about the Port of Richmond. 3rd largest by tonnage after LA/LBC, but not even mentioned in these comments :).

Most ABS modules can be rebuilt for a $100 or so, like I had to do when my ‘00 B5 Passat 1.8T’s module failed back in 2008 or so. Went on eBay, bought the $99 mail-in repair service, pulled it out, sent it to the eBay repair guy and BAM! Back to normal vs. paying $1,000 for a Bosch module from the dealer.

There are still plenty of new Arteons out there for $8-10k off sticker, which is insane, given that I was just in for service on my GTI at the local VW dealer and every single car BUT the Arteon was marked up $5k over MSRP (ADM) plus $2k for some TruCoat and door protectors. So, you get to pay $40k for a shitty Taos

Wait, wait, wait.... Is there a Jalopnik article on this Lada 2107 thing? How is there no mention of the Lada in this article?

Was just coming in here to post about the Aura Bass Shaker.  I remembered them from the late 90s, can’t believe they’re still around.

For the record, I paid $25,600 for my absolutely brand-spankin’-new ‘19 GTI SE with Experience (6-speed) in January 2020. Sticker, with Homelink mirror/Monster Mats/first aid and roadside assistance kit was $34,200. At that time, S base cars could be had for $22k. No one ever pays sticker for a GTI. Or they didn’t, at

There are tons of picture car companies that either have the correct cars for something like this in stock or have them in their database. If the car coordinator wanted to, he or she should be able to find a weathered/beaten car of the type that fits the character and setting. Hell, they can even go out and buy one

Everything old is new again.

Except they spin in different directions and can be confusing, as I recently found out. Also, the standard way to read a meter itself is from right to left, but the final number is read from left to right, again, as I recently found out. Our place was built in 1916, and the meter is located inside, in what is now the

Mind blown for both the Alfa and the Challenger.  I had no idea.

159 V12 Centuries have been sold in the non-USS Japan auction system in the last 30 days (more if you include USS, but that requires a USS license to see).  Current selling prices range from about $1,500 to $5,000.  If you’re in the US, none are legal until at least April 2022.

No, what you have pictured is a B210 (in the US), aka Sunny (in Japan), aka Datsun 120Y (in the EU/UK) which would look like this in JDM land:

Perhaps some of VW agreed with me, too, because the ’79 to ’80 rectangular lamp design was a U.S.-only thing, and when the whole car was finally re-designed for the Mark 2 Golf, the slightly-rounded take on the classic ItalDesign shape included big, round lights on the face.

I’m pretty sure I know who the seller is as he was also selling a very reasonably priced 360 Modena with a 6-speed manual last year that I missed out on. Based on his Instagram (where this car appears), he seems to just like churning through cars and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Sadly, the original Ampera’s death came after just four years on the market. The plug-in hybrid, sold in 2011-14, drew buyers in even smaller numbers than its American counterpart, the Chevy Volt. Its lackluster sales are mostly attributed to its range on battery power alone (around 40 miles), which didn’t convince

Here’s some pics of it from a canyon run, with me chasing the XJ220 and my friend’s 911 GT3 Touring in my 993.
