As soon as I read this, I flashed back to the HID thefts of the early 2000s which also started in the same area and soon popped up across the country. I recall 2002 Maximas were the one of the main targets then and a Google search led to many posts from 2002 and 2003 about stolen Maxima headlights.

So it turns out Юный Техник has an online archive and now I’m going through it looking for that issue. You wouldn’t happen to remember the approximate year?

It is exactly as I pictured it!

Привет Миша!

I don’t know if you’ve looked very hard, but it would probably be much cheaper to rent something on Turo:

I found my Skyline in the LA Auto Guide! I still have a couple of issues :).

That’s my worry as well.

This. Several years back, my SO had a ring from a previous relationship that fell apart shortly after engagement, with the guy refusing to take the ring back (he came from significantly more money than I do and this was quite a large ring). It had been laying around and at one point she asked me to sell it for her as

But a good touring is going to cost you all of that $15k and likely more with shipping, etc. Sure there are some $10k beaters floating around (and even rusty automatic cars for $8k or so), but this thing looks factory-fresh.  This isn’t some $2k E30 shell you can buy off Craigslist.  Check out the historical sales on

This! Whenever I’m traveling from LA to San Diego for work, it’s the Surfliner. 3 hours in traffic or 3 hours spent plodding away at work on a laptop, munching on snacks and periodically enjoying the scenery. $30-50 round trip (depending on regular vs. business class).

Looks like you’ve never seen a 70's/80's movie/TV show about a soldier and/or group of soldiers going rogue to defend the honor/memory/safety of a friend/family/significant other/dojo/sibling/country/random person(s) he/she/they meet while on the run with skills honed through years of martial arts training/fighting in

My friend’s mom purchased a brand new GS300 in 1998.  I came over to check it out and immediately noticed that the driver’s side B-pillar did not match the rest of the interior.  So Toyota was not immune from this.

Saw this last night and immediately fell in love with the Röte Sau W140 and the Bentley.  I now need a race-prepped BRG Bentley Turbo, stat!

It’s a warm SoCal night in 1997. I have heard of the mythical Skyline and have been exposed to it through Gran Turismo but have never seen one. My buddy Brad and I are driving down Tampa Ave. in Northridge, California in his E30 when I suddenly spot a car trailer ahead of us in traffic. “Is that.. Is that??? Holy

Looks to be a ZJ sans headlight bucket.

Definitely not LAPD decals (that is not the LA seal) and there’s no such thing as an LAPD “Patrol Supervisor.”

How do I find this $3k Lada in California?

You missed the Grand Cherokee from Brat (the first one, not the sequel):

That Callaway C4 looks shockingly good for some reason.

Is that you, Will? To confirm, I’m going to need pictures of this vehicle in the following format: A picture, once per day for four days, with the day’s San Francisco Chronicle (front page visible) in the foreground, and a bagel on the vehicle’s roof as follows:
