Never (ever) say never, but... why is molded plastic fake steel mesh even a thing? It’s nearly as baffling as leather-patterned vinyl.

Why does it have so many faux-mesh frills (fake grills)? Why? I swore I would never buy a car with fake mesh, but it now seems like it is more popular than ever. Fauxcus ST was the worst offender; sensible RS designers replaced the grumper (grill-patterned bumper) with an actual bumper.

WTF is the actual mechanical function of X-mode? I watched an infauX video about it, but could never penetrate the marketing bullshit. The only mechanical function I could discern was the X-mode toggle switch. If it’s locking diffs, ala STI SI-drive, then just fucking say it!
