“CLICK HERE!  THIS IS FUNNY!”  When I was a lowly tech in the nineties, we had this division chief who would trash her computer on an average of once a week.  She never learned.  She always bitched that she had no computer while we were rebuilding it.  We got smart and had a backup ready to go when she clicked on a

Buying new and donating it when it is not economically effective to repair has been my mantra for 30 years. I donate them because they have a value of zero when I get rid of them.  Depreciation is a non-issue.

Since time immemorial any periods of inflation meant prices “are here to stay”. Otherwise, Gerald Ford’s “WIN” buttons would have worked.  The only time prices went down was during the Great Depression, where the economy experienced deflation.  Deflation is never good.

Hopefully, RFK Jr. will siphon enough lunatic fringe votes from Trump.

“Malfeasance” was the first word that popped into my mind.

Several on cars.com for under $6k and under 175k miles.  It may involve a trip, but it is possible.

I know it doesn’t fit the fuel economy and easy to park criteria, but maybe look into another Xterra. They are the perfect urban assault vehicle for the mean streets of Philly.

I have a feeling it was never well maintained, hence the expensive repairs.

ND based solely on my hatred of these bougie mall crawlers.

Years ago, my Data Processing 101 professor taught us to cut about a quarter inch off of the bottom of a check. That way, the reader couldn’t read it and the check had to be handled manually, taking weeks before it cleared. It was back in the time where the local electric bills mailed out were on punch cards. He told

This alone has me questioning the stewardship of this car.  Also, why two sets of floor mats?  ND.

Just like how an 18-speed bicycle works.

Can I take a Fiat to a Dodge/Jeep dealership and receive the same service as a Fiat dealership, or will it be relegated to the back lot until they figure out what to do with it? Same problem with the logistical issues I listed before, and it appears Stellantis has them inefficiently stovepiped.

The problem with Fiat in America is, and has always been, a lack of logistical support from the manufacture, i.e. parts availability, a robust dealer network, and the number and training of technicians. This goes for every Italian and French manufacturer, and for some reason has always been so.  Volkswagen cracked

Wall Street still considers Tesla to be a “technology company”.

CDK didn’t have a disaster recovery plan, or they compiled one years ago and was so out of date it was worthless.  Apparently, they had to do bare metal rebuilds of a lot of systems.  We’ll see if their backups were up to date.

Maybe if it were in British Racing Green, a biscuit interior, and half of the price...    No.  Never mind.  ND.

It used to be that Congress would give the various executive agencies the power to enact regulations, since they had the scientists and other smart people to do so. As evidenced by the anti-vax push, the ultra-right is moving forward with its anti-intellectualism campaign.  We are rapidly headed toward another Dark

Jack in the Box is definitely a No-Go for a road trip.

As a resident of the South, I concur.  Everything you stated is just part of the scenery to me.
