Exactly. E30, 34, 36, 38, 39...all were overwhelming on release have matured into handsome well proportioned , dare I say beautiful cars. The new lexii are an abomination. Mercs and some Audi’s are still lovely. The bimmers are hit or miss imo.

I carried around a kid for 2 years in a mustang. It’s tight but it works just fine. The kid never complained but getting them in and out is a bit of a chore. But worth it vs. the expense of a new car I think.

I have 3 kids and I routinely fit all three in the back of my focus St. All front facing, but even three abreast was doable. Eventually I got rid of it because I wanted a bigger heavier cat but the width was not a problem.

Exactly! I can’t say i have much sympathy for someone running broadside into a semi at 70+ miles an hour. You have to be extremely negligent to manage such a maneuver. Not the trucks fault either. You should see a truck this size waaaaay before hitting it becomes a possibility.

So the maintenance cost difference between a bmw and a saturn, mercury, pontiac or chrysler works out to $500 a year. Id say that’s money well spent.
