Personally, I think it doesn’t make a damn difference if people either pick going into space, or making Earth more livable. Because neither are going to work. Humanity is mean, selfish, lazy, vindictive and it will be impossible to get enough people to cooperate to succeed in either.

It is a 3D scene, and overpainted to add detail. I’m saying this not to disparage his work, it is very well done, but from a production time point. It would make much more sense to do it in 3D.
