The Testarossa had a little mirror in the glove box, but I don’t think it was for makeup.

24" U-Haul truck. Worst freaking seat in the world. I was glad it drank gas so fast. I looked forward to each stop to get the kinks out of my back.

DeSantis is a tool, and this is political theater. But the Soviet Union, Maoist China, the Khmer Rouge, etc. they really did kill a lot of people. And arguing over whether they were really “communist” is semantic nonsense, and doesn’t absolve them of their crimes.

EV at 3% of the vehicles on the roads in USA it’s a stretch to call this a tipping point.

Enjoy fleeting perfection:

That last bit is what does it for me. Not only are they stout motors, they were well suited to the cars that carried them. Never once have I driven a car with a 3800 and thought “hmm this would feel better with a different engine.” Examples of truly good decision-making at GM are few and far between but I think this

The general consensus among enthusiasts and mechanics (such as Car Wizard) seems to be that they’ll last longer than the cars that they’re mounted to. They have a few weak spots (plastic cooling line elbows, intake manifold) that when fixed make for a practically bulletproof engine. Our old 3800 fell to that

1st Gear: 100K$ for an EV... for a still emerging non proven technology, is a bit stiff for general acceptance. By 2030-35, to own a car, you will have to spent more than that to drive a car? I don’t think so. I remember VHS vs Betamax .

What makes it a classic? The terrible handling? The uncomfortable seats? The lack of survivability in an accident?

Some writers think that reflexive cynicism is a valid substitute for thoughtful analysis.

That’s his thing: to back-handed compliment or just straight up shit on things that people like.

Your KBB is trade in value....

Former GMC salesman here. Can confirm.

In before people start saying “why don’t you just get an Escalade at that point?”

I like your style

I think a lot of progressive/liberal messaging is just a circle jerk anyway. The message wasn’t intended for the people being screwed over in red states, it’s for people ‘in the know’ to hear, nod, and pat themselves on the back about.

I see the headline and get excited. I read the pull quote and I just ...

The back seats in Challengers have more leg room than a lot of the compact or even midsize sedans I’ve been in, getting in and out is a bit more of a chore but once you’re back there you’re no more cramped than you’d be in the back seat of an Accord.

What would have drawn in customers is that it has an automatic. People can bash automatics all they want and I’m certain the ‘save the manual’ crowd is still grasping at what they can, but at the end of the day what probably cost the Viper a lot of sales in it’s time was being manual-only.
