Agreed. As an NL lifer, I hate the DH, but Edgar was awesome. Loved watching that guy bat. A class act with a beautiful swing. He definitely deserves to go.

100% this comment. Edgar is right up there with Griffey and Buhner as the three kings of Seattle baseball. He’s long overdue for a trip to Cooperstown.

Really happy to see Edgar Martinez finally getting his due. The damn DH award is named after him! He was an OBP machine and one of the most feared hitters in baseball with runners in scoring position. Seattle certainly had flashier players in his prime, but I’d argue he’s the most beloved player in club history.

It’s not much better when you’re reading the desktop version and all of a sudden the paragraph you were reading scrolls up above the top of the browser window because the auto-play video that you scrolled past auto-hid when it was done playing......

If you spend time in Seattle in South Lake Union and Queen Anne, and ever have to drive on Mercer, you will know that that part of town has changed night and day since 2008.
