I mean, I understand the intention here, the market has changed. But there are still deals to be had, but they may need more searching. All this headline does, is dampers the spirits of someone who may have been a thrifty shopper, and going ahead and expecting to get bent over a barrel.

Confirming pricing and availability. I have an order outstanding on a 2021 Jeep Unlimited this week, with the Gorilla Glass option and it the MSRP is $95, invoice price is $86.

I’ve had some behind the scene time, as I’ve worked on a few of the museum areas and in the racetrack. A few notes:

Ha! Still going strong until she REALLY leans on me to sell the 928. She tolerates my 4 motorcycle projects in the garage, and her parking on the street. She’s a professionally trained cook, a nurse, and smoking hot. I’d be an idiot to look elsewhere😂😁

Good looking out! I’ve got a handful of similar stories where you try to offer a helping hand and someone that has more confidence than sense, ruins the attempt. Stupid should hurt, you just hope when you’re lending a hand, you don’t get the bad end of the deal.

In the same situation, when I owned a winch equipped Wrangler, I always looked for times to be a Good Samaritan.

Really? I hadn’t known much about them until one caught my eye the other day on a rental site I was thinking about taking it for a weekend. It was the first Subaru in a long time that made me curious if I’d like it. Disappointing to hear they are sluggish.

Subaru Crosstrek- not many out there, Subaru engine and awd functionality and wagon. They start around 21k, so you could get a low mileage one in the budget without issue. I’ve always found Foresters hideous, but I could drive one of these. Do it!

If I start a company that makes simple to work on, reliable, 4 wheel drive vehicles, but without all the bells and whistles, will they sell?

Porsche 928 - Many specimens can still be had under 5 grand, and there are some examples of being built over 700hp with the stock block. Strip the interior and have a RWD 8 cyl with a capable suspension and run it!

Agree with all the statements requests here. In addition, something that’s easy to work on.

I don’t think the start stop is quite that transparent. Drivers aids, when transparent are great. If it is, I’ll be happy to accept it. I’ve yet to see one that operates so quickly thus far.

Certainly a possibility it could be gone, however it’s a direction Chrysler decided to take it. Now enthousiests pay up for what could be considerably less expensive.

You and I actually think quite along the same lines, the only difference being what we consider invasive. Your description of reactivation, is the only problem I have. It comes back on at each start of the vehicle, and I’d consider than invasive.

You’re the first I’ve heard that didn’t find it peculiar. I’m not saying someone can’t get used to it.

I agree with you on the two or three engine selection. I think more than that causes decision paralysis on which is better and leaves a consumer confuses on their choice. 4cyl, 6cyl and diesel, should be straightforward. The diesel throws a curveball in this segment and wil take some dealer education. I’ve been

Nate, in vehicles with conventional gas engines with start stop, there is a small delay between when you hit the accelerator pedal, and the car actually goes. The engine shuts off at each stop, and restarts when you want to go. The delay time depends on the drivetrain, but unless you are hypermiling your Jeep

Good to know. If it wasn’t a currently available option, I certainly would intend to develop it. Thanks for the response.

That’s what I’m afraid of. Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks. I get it, I just don’t like it. I’ve works in the auto industry as well, from the floor, to the corporate finance group. I try to base things on a consumer standpoint, and these conflicts make me sad when developments aren’t made to improve the user experience. I don’t consider an improvement in GHG score to
