Some of that comes from his phrasing, though. Consider:

The car label lists FEATURES, including some that you as a consumer may find desirable — but these do not materially alter the functionality of the vehicle. “Organic” and “GMO free” fall into that category, IMO. The same could be said for “kosher.” We don’t label the majority of groceries as “Not Kosher” do we?

Labels that say “GMO Free” are one thing. Labels that say “Contains GMO ingredients” are an entirely different matter.

This is true. One caveat though: Allowing the smoke detectors to communicate with the thermostats can be a problem if you have free-roaming pets. Dogs & cats don’t trigger the thermostat’s motion detector, but do appear as “occupants” to the smoke detectors.

My first LED bulb purchase was the new(er) Cree 4Flow style, which no one here seems to be mentioning. Absolutely love them, though I understand their warranty is shorter than the one on the standard model.
