Rhetorical question, I know, but how drunk do you have to be to not taste the difference between mashed potatoes and lard?
Potatoes do have a wonderful flavor. WHEN YOU ADD FUCKING SALT!!
You have to watch the labels on what you pull out of the fridge. My drunk friend pulled out a tub of mashed potatoes late one night and plowed through it. Next morning he wakes up and sees the tub on the counter. It was lard.

Sorry to see no mention of Laggies, probably my favorite indie romcom of the past few years. It’s also in the “coming-of-age with a side of romance” subgenre, but Keira Knightley and Sam Rockwell have surprisingly good chemistry. Nope, not if you work in a freezing office, wear drapey/cascading sweaters and have female co-workers who splash so much damn water on the sink counter that methinks they may secretly be river otters with a penchant for office supplies.
You almost had me for a second there. Take your star and never sully my doorstep with your shadow again.
Triggered was surprisingly a well-written book. It was nuanced, and highly erudite, with some poignant, thought-provoking points— I’ve been informed that I’m actually reading the nutrition facts on the back of a salt shaker, my mistake.
Moby loves his Rescue Cat, I was fortunate to return his lost cat to him, lucky the collar had this on it:
