The one thing I took away from all the “upgraded” console rumors (on both sides) and accelerated release cycles is that consoles will have to be backwards compatible by necessity. Hopefully that means that the PS8 and Xbox Four will be able to play current gen games in the future.

I never got highlighting as a study tool. It’s only useful to draw attention to a specific fact so you can find it later for reference. Like, if I have a big table of data and only need a handful to numbers out of it, I’ll highlight those number and am able to find them at a glance.

If you’re doing just texting, you can switch to a different app. Annoyingly, you can’t just set the other app as your SMS app, but you also have to go into Hangouts and turn off SMS there specifically.

As far as I can tell, it just uses the accelerometer to tell when you move the phone to turn on the screen. And it has to be a deliberate movement (just picking up the phone isn’t sufficient). I haven’t gotten it to work consistently. The Moto X uses (I believe) small IR sensors to tell when your hand is moving next…
