This thread is hilarious.

I own a beach house?

I have to be ready at a minute’s notice to defend my country against the limey redcoats in the armies of the descendants of King George.

Eh, the current name’s been wrong for over a hundred years anyways, but I can acknowledge that “1st Runner Up In the War of Northern Aggression” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue easily.

It’s only a tired meme to tankie morons who like to pretend that something that adds $5-$10 to lifting costs a barrel adds $50.

Yeah, that’s not really the comic strip to use here moron. Do you think oil got so big on the backs of Americans making economical choices about things like what sorts of cars to drive?

Yeah that doesn’t really seem like a viable target for a required minimum wage for a city.

I need to work 12hrs. Per day 24/7 to barely survive living in San Fransisco.

Speaking as someone who’s also lived paycheck to paycheck, I understand that there are convenience/price tradeoffs, and am not talking about the piddling, small choices we make, such as buying coffee in styrefoam cups.

This is a stupid take, and the idea of each person making all of the stuff they need to live in world in the modern world is ludicrous.

But Warren’s response points out a harsh truth that no one wants to acknowledge. The one thing retail politicians in America ABSOLUTELY CANNOT DO AT ALL is tell consumers either

False dichotomy is false.

There have always been more sustainable options out there than the balance of us consistently choose though.

before making a critical point about consumer choices as a relatively small contributor to cataclysmic climate change.

2007 is not 2017.

When I say stop caring about “it” I’m saying that holistically.

I mean, c’mon guys. If a sports league stresses you out, makes you tired, unhappy or causes you to grapple with an existential crisis, then you don’t have to stop watching it altogether but you can stop caring about it.

I dont’ know that I would call it great, and I definitely didn’t enjoy watching the game or that the Patriots won, but the overall concept of “New Young Offensive Hotness is forced to take several seats by the Curmudgeonly Old Defensive Warlock” is pretty classic.

Up until this year she was copacetic with a dictator who gasses his own citizens?
