Giant killer mutant insects who breathe fire and spit acid who are cunningly disguised as space cowboys for the entire run of the series.

Andy's my personal favourite character but Jean/Gene is a close second!

What about "Firefly"? You never see anyone on io9 or elsewhere on the Internet praising it.

Not exactly as iconic as Desi Arnaz, Jr.'s parents' work, it has to be said.

One episode was enough for me!

Started the day that Clinton became President, incidentally.

Watched the second episode of this earlier today. Great fun!

"Quark" should definitely be on this list. "Dark Skies" certainly deserves much more notice than it gets but I'm not sure if I'd describe as a classic in the "Brilliant But Cancelled" sense.

Now playing

Incidentally, I'm certainly recommend the 1948 film "Scott of the Antarctic" as not only is it very entertaining but I understand that it's quite historically accurate. It features a very young Christopher Lee and the 1970s "Doctor Who" producer Barry Letts in the cast to boot!

As regards the "Aladdin" one, I always imagined that they simply created by the Genie and, after he had finished with them, they ceased to exist. Much the same as when Q created people and places in "Star Trek".

By using iPads, these orangutans blaspheme the Lawgiver and the Sacred Scrolls.

Nor would I. Still, if he lost a bit of weight, he'd hopefully be back to his old self again.

Big screen continuations of "SG-1" and "Babylon 5" (with the original casts and none of the deceased cast members' roles recast) are the only classic sci-fi shows turned films that I'd really like to see made, frankly. My hopes are not high for either though.

It was only more fun because it was so hilariously bad.

I'll probably give this a go as it seems fun.

An inability to speak could only help his acting skills though.

God, that bread must have been difficult to chew.

No matter what, it's still as sick as hell.

Captain Proton, maybe.

Jean Marsh rocks.
