A lot of people are saying that the platform is the deal-breaker here. I get that to an extent. Like many Kotaku commenters, once I got a Switch, my interest in playing games on 3DS dropped a lot. I haven’t even finished Metroid: Samus Returns, and I love the Metroid series and had been dying for its return!

It looks like a fun game that’s right up my alley.  I don’t have much of an interest in playing on the 3DS anymore though - if he really wanted exposure he’d find a way to have it ported to the Switch and convince someone to throw some advertising its way.

This. If they want folks to play it, they should port it to Switch.

Puts game on dying, borderline-obsolete console.

“Papa John Has Regrets.”

Considering that art is a front facing store artwork this seems absolutely reasonable.

That’s a pretty good description of what Trump is doing right now in the UK.

I never understood why they did what they did with Armageddon. Guerilla really was/is a blast (lolz) to play. Armageddon was...not.

I tried this about a month ago on my Xenoblade 2 Pro Controller, and it didn’t work. Still unreliable. One of the worst d-pads I’ve ever used. Which is mind boggling coming from Nintendo.

You know, some people also didn’t like The Last Jedi because it’s a structurally questionable movie with some bad writing and underdeveloped (or underused) characters.

Exactly. The slave contracts restrict a huge portion of these peoples lives and then they’re treated in ways that make them almost feel they NEED to stick with this because theres nothing else they can do.

LGBT fans, safe space, and K-pop all in the same sentence... Not sure how safe it is for the sufferers of those contracts that usually exist for the singers and groups... But I guess the fans can feel it..

Like some people here have said, do not mistake the skinship between same sex Kpop group members or boys wearing thick make up as a statement that they’re encouraging LGBTQ movement. They’re there simply because the fans love that kind of stuffs, in a safe place which is through the screen/on stage.

I can’t help but feel like queer kpop fans are being fooled. If you want real queerness and not performative pap, there are bands like Years & Years and artists like Hayley Kiyoko. Kpop has as much authentic queerness as Katy Perry.

Melee’s ledge play has never been overly complex. There are so many things going against you if you’re off-stage, it isn’t all that difficult to guess who’s not going to make it. It also makes it apparently obvious why top tier characters (mainly just 4 or 5), are the best in the game, because their off-stage recovery

Sure. Those are the days where they can spend even more time demanding their streamer slave entertains them.

Wait wait wait. What.

Old games can still have a tournament life; there’s nothing wrong with that. And Melee is still very entertaining to watch.

In the Twitch interview they explained that all characters start as the same class, and that you wind up building your character into something distinct from other players’ as you progress through the game. They didn’t talk about face designs or the like.

He is making a valid point by saying they are just enhancing what was already there. Albeit there has been more thought involved other than just porting stuff over and calling it a day.
