Your third point is my big issue with the God Particle title. "The God Particle" makes it sound like we've now got it all figured out and everyone can go home. Couldn't be farther from the truth; we're still just scratching the surface.

I'd feel pretty fucking guilty if I was one of those lucky few. Not to say they did anything special to spare themselves, but if it were me I'd be on an emotional roller coaster of elated/despondent until my neighborhood got rebuilt.
