Any attempt at nuanced discussion is impossible on the site because most of the time commenters here don’t actually read the comments they’re responding to and simply choose to interpret said comments in bad faith. Why write a well thought out sincere comment when a short, snarky clap back gets more stars?

Right but the evidence Wolfire presented to back their claims that Valve forces price-parity still aren’t that compelling. The evidence in question being an alleged conversation had with a Valve employee years ago about Wolfire releasing Overgrowth on Steam and some Tim Sweeney tweets. I don’t see this case going

It would be pretty damning evidence against Valve had you not conflated “price parity” with “regional pricing,” since the former is what the lawsuit is actually about and the article you cited doesn’t mention it once.

Massive respect to whoever is running Bungie’s social media for posting this as well as calling out the insecure worms whining in their replies about it.

Valve’s biggest failings all lead back to their hubris, poor communication, and overall lack of management. At it’s core, Valve’s company structure is a direct counter to that of the 90's Microsoft-era office culture which Gabe very much despised. But the result is a company without any fundamental direction or

How on Earth did you come that conclusion from their post?

Chris Pratt fans in shambles

I mean, if they were *as* greedy and money-hungry as Epic then we would be getting a Portal 4 by now and probably be on Half-Life 6.

I’ve used the Link a few times within the last month and at least two of those times it had to be updated. While it’s not being sold anymore, Valve devloped the app which provides a similar function to the hardware. Within the last year the Link’s UI was completely overhauled and changed to a new version. I don’t

Pretty sure they’re gonna require you to login with a Meta account instead. The whole rebrand just feels like a fresh coat of paint in a shallow attempt to cover up the sleezy, data harvesting, corporate shell that still lies beaneth

*insert obvious Sony is treating Steam Deck better than Vita joke*

There’s been a fair amount articles about it since it was announced and a couple videos showing various games running on it. I’m not really sure what more you expect people to talk about before the device is actually out lol

Real nice of Epic to give me another reason to never use or interact with any of their platforms ever again

I love how scrolling down trying to find this comment I see another reply from you saying: “stop encouraging fallacious thinking” and here you are equating people critical of the article to being: “Gamergate neckbeards.” I’d probably jump through some ridiculous hoops too if I chose to spend hours on end writing 40+

If they really weren’t and it wasn’t a problem they wouldn’t have edited the article taking out the “Thank You, pirates” line and added a passive agressive apology, but by all means keep spamming this reply on every comment critical of the article.

If you buy a game, new or otherwise, then choose to emulate; I don’t see that as a bad thing.

Reading that in the article confused then angered me more than it should have.

Incredibly stupid any emotes were allowed at all

If you buy a game, completed it under two hours, enjoyed it, then refund it: You’re an asshole. This is happening too often and developers are losing out on sales because people are jerks. There should be an application developers can fill out to be absolved from the two hour window if there game meets certain

“It’s probably relatively easy to fix”

Ah good, the armchair developers have logged on
