The Valve hate gets so tiresome on this site mainly because it always comes off as the same four or five whiny/petty complaints about Valve and never anything substantial

The Valve Index was sold out for months as well as the Link and Steam Controller performing/reviewing decently when they launched. All these devices still get updated and tweaks from valve years after they launched, would hardly call that a failure.

God I would kill for a full Monkey Island crossover event where you play alongside Guybrush and fight LeChuck, this small easter egg gives me hope

Oh man, I hope there’s a Goombella alt skin

Conceptually it sounds like it has potential, and it could compete in niche for those looking for a more high-end portable gaming machine. Not sure about the name though. Couldn’t have they gone with something like Piston? (Y’know cause Valve, Steam, etc.)

I’ll give you a hint, it’s the same group that complains about “politics” in game. But if you want to continue you deliberately disingenuous about innocent civilians dying then that’s on you

The “Censorship” and “Freedom of Speech” crowd is real quiet about this one...

“...it would be nice if Steam provided more detailed reasoning behind their ban”

Getting Crackdown 3 vibes from this... A game announced way too soon, going through multiple design revisions, and will probably wind up being a bland, mediocre game in the end. Which is a shame because I enjoyed Black Flag and thought this could be a neat follow up using the game’s mechanic as a solid foundation

Would be cool, but I doubt it. A multiplayer service game full of MTX will generate them more money in the long-run, and Ubisoft seems more interested in money than making smaller/risk-taking/less profitable titles these days

If you want the “whole thing” you might want to include:

From today’s Apple vs Epic hearing: “If Apple told you the deal would only be with you and no other developers,” referencing a carve-out for lower App Store commission, “would you have accepted that deal?”

I honestly thought they were making more from Unreal Engine, 97% of their earnings in 2018 from one game is insane

Exactly, its more convenient! Just like when I’m on a storepage debating to buy this game on sale it’s more convenient for me to scroll down and see reviews to get a general impression of a game rather than have to alt+tab and bring up Metacritic

Would be interesting if devs have access to stats seeing if their games were brought on Itch.io through EGS’ app or not

Why would I want Itch.io on Epic when I can just download their store straight from them?

This is a false equivalence because Valve isn’t paying anyone to keep games locked to their platform. Epic knows if people had to choose between Steam or EGS, they would choose Steam every time. Which is why they spend more money on exclusives and less on actually improving their storefront

I really enjoyed Towerfall and absolutely adored Celeste. The soundtrack, narrative, and platforming were all top-notch. Very much looking forward to playing their next game!

Well Sony would want big games to help push PSVR 2 and Valve knows Sony is interested in bringing previous PS4 exclusive to PC, so their could be a mutual beneficial exchange formed

Looks absolutely stunning! I hope the story and writing can match the high bar set by the visuals, definitely keeping my eye on it
