Mr. Rogers existed at a time where there was no social media, no need to have an internet presence, and was targeting a completely different demographic.

As assumptive and a bit mean it may sound, I doubt you, me, or anyone commenting here will ever reach even 5% of the popularity and audience size Pewdiepie has. If I somehow did reach those heights I would at least attempt to be a good person and encourage my audience to do the same, but no matter how nobel my efforts

I can’t think of a single YouTuber with over 100,000 subs that doesn’t have some amount of toxicity in their community whether in outside hubs or the cesspool of their own comment section. If a YouTuber with about 100,000 can unwillingly garner a small amount of toxicity than an audience 10x that amount will be much

To be fair, when you have as many people subscribed to you as Felix does you’re bound to have a loud, vocal minority of people that are just awful.

Modders don’t have to worry about licensing

I had absolutely no idea until this article that VVVVVV and Super Hexagon were both made by the same person. Even without that bit of info, this game looks like an easy buy from me

It’s definitely a neat concept, especially the Interactive Recommender. I was able to find a few games to add to my wishlist through it.

The Anti-Valve circlejerk on this site is so exhausting, especially since it’s devolved from actual criticism and discussion to the same two boring jokes.

Such a shame because I was actually very interested in this game when it was first announced, but the lack of content and aggressive microtransactions ultimately turned me off continuing to play.

Plenty of great full priced AAA games launched within the last year without needing to exploit users with microtrasactions or underhanded gambling mechanics.

Finally something good came out of Twitter

I’m just baffled that someone thought this was a good idea and went through with it...

Very interesting read, Twitch has grown exponentially in the last two years. Might we expect a “State of Youtube 2018" in the near future?

Ultimate really stole my heart

Worst case scenario, this makes Valve reevaluate their current revenue split model and offers better compensation for indies and smaller devs.

People download these launchers, the problem is they’re only used for one or two games.

I think with Fortnite, Epic intend to target the NEXT generation of PC Gamers. Much like how Valve was able to attract users to its service through making TF2 free to play (Or more infamously, making Half-Life 2 a Steam exclusive).

Honestly, this is a pretty disingenuous take. For all its faults, Steam has a ton of great features that often go unappreciated or completely ignored. Steam Play, Workshop, a functional review system, Marketplace, Family Sharing, Trading, Community Hub. Of course, these don’t come without things to be criticized:

From what I’ve heard Valve isn’t going to completely remove cards but possibly nerf/buff some if they feel it’s absolutely necessary. The “balancing” of cards will work like MtG where new card sets will come out every few months-year to change the meta

Playstaion Direct hype!
