It is weird that Brooklyn 99 gets focused on when there are 10,000 other cop shows about how generally infallible they are that pay way less lip service to the problems in police departments. Almost every single cop on this show other than the main crew is either incompetent, self serving, dishonest, or a crook.

Having not seen the several movies that other posters here say he was great in, I will say that he might be a great actor. But his performance in Black Panther was nothing to write home about. The role was immediately underwritten.

I’m not sure I’d call them awful people. Yes, the monetizing guy and the assistant are terrible people. But the two testers are clearly good people. Rickety Cricket, the co-head and F. Murray Abraham are flawed but overall good. Mac is just mainly just arrogant, not bad overall.

It’s been a long time since I read Without Remorse but I remember not thinking much of it. It was definitely a pulp departure for Clancy. Even as a kid,  I remember thinking “that’s a lot of rape”. SPOILERS I think no less than two of the women in his family are raped and murdered (one might have survived).

Master of None is such a weird show. It features some of the worst acting on television or film that I’ve ever seen. If you didn’t know better, you’d think most of the central actors (Ansari, Waithe, whoever played the big guy) should stick to their days jobs. I really liked the movie, but the killer and aspects of the how they committed the crime, was lifted right out of a Christie story. I guessed the murderer because I’d seen a particular episode of Poirot on PBS years ago.
