“No one knows anything anymore”. It’s abundantly clear that you and several of the other writers here don’t, that’s for sure. This is the exact same thing that happened in 2006, when Democrats ran a broad range of conservative to liberal candidates all over the country. in 2010, when the country decided that any

So they rewarded him?

It would certainly make things easier, because then the Republicans would have the numbers they need to take complete and total control over all levels of the government and just rewrite the constitution however they see fit.

I think that in every moment, not just despairing ones. It’s absolutely the truth.

Whenever a left leaning person calls for term limits it drives me nuts. You do realize that if politicians have less experience and time in the government that the business interests and lobbyists who remain in the capitol at all times will simply grown in power, right?

You demand that they make empty gestures and when they do, you hound them for it. Most of the writers around here are basically emotional abusers.

Speaking as a life long resident of the state, he’s not running it any worse than any of the Governors we’ve had in a lonnnnng time. He’s certainly way better than the last few we have had. He’s also way more progressive than most people seem to think. New York under his leadership has accomplished way more

Lieberman isn’t a fake progressive. The mother fucker never claimed to be. And he did establish a 3rd party.

She isn’t even campaigning on her own behalf. She’s out with Sanders campaigning in other primaries.

Outside of maybe John McCain, no one gives a shit what Joe Lieberman thinks.

The Working Families Party is a union party that supports any candidate that vows to support unions hardest, basically. It’s also probably a bit of a cash grab. Most Democarats and many Republicans try to get on their line.

Watch Michelle Wolf EVISERATE John Oliver!

It was an improvement and leftward move over the “You’re sick? Lol!” approach we had before (and that Republicans are trying to return us to).

That sure as hell helped.

It’s great that this is what people say when polled. When they have to vote (say the ballot initiative on universal healthcare in 2016) on those policies or for any politician who has the desire to push them through, the matter changes. Universal healthcare was voted down about 78 to 21 in purplish Colorado. That is a

Universal Healthcare went down 22 to 78 in Colorado. The voters do now want progressive policies as much as we think they do. The thinking on this is crazy backwards. “Voters are all very liberal, that’s why they vote for the conservatives, rather than the moderate liberals.” That is a ridiculous belief

It’s worked for the righ because that is what the people who vote prefer. As you mention below, yeah, I think the country skews more conservative than it does liberal. I think that, looking at the last 9 elections results, that it is crazy to think otherwise.

The voters who you think don’t owe anybody “shit” are the ones that picked her, and rejected Sanders from the get go. And voters owe themselves something. Which is to bother to vote to save their own lives. If you supported Trump, or Stein or didn’t vote, you deserve everything coming your way. It’s as simple as that.

We were obliterated in the midterms because we went for a liberal healthcare policy and the country said, “fuck that”.

That period of time happens to co-inside with the party moving to the left, eliminating many Blue Dogs and embracing more liberal healthcare policies. It is not an accident that once we voted in something approaching universal healthcare, we started getting voted out massively.
