Yeah, I think there are far more people who would be interested in this game than your average AAA publisher would believe. As others have said, this is a good space for a well-made mod to thrive, since there are so many amazing games with assets that overlap almost entirely with this, and you don't have to have as

Thank you so much.

I agree. On the actual website now most of his posts are other people's comics. Which is fine, (it's probably funnier that way) but it's pretty much not a webcomic site anymore.

Until now every Elder Scrolls game has been in a pretty radically different generation of technology, so I don't think it would be a stretch to say that there are people that play them for the graphics. But I agree with you, hopefully the real improvements are where it counts, improving your interactions with the

aw, c'mon, he's got a cool obi-wan thing going on. I dig it. I'd say he needs an apprentice, but he's already had tons, and I'm ready to move on to the next stage of history. (BOSTON!)

I've played all the Assassin's Creed games on PC, with a 360 controller. I was the same way for a while, pick up the first game the next time it's cheap on Steam, and know that if the basic gameplay is at all fun to you, the next two games are better in every way.

Absolutely. The only nice thing about it I can say is the games work really well with X360 controllers on your PC. Microsoft should just start working with Valve and packaging games that work with Steam instead.

How are you going to hit anything?

I was born the same year the first Keen was released, but I played all of them in my childhood. Our first computer was a (by that time) old 386, but it was LOADED down with shareware games and software, many of which are mentioned here. Old PC games make up some of my earliest gaming memories.

I thought I would have to just resign myself to not getting their probably-clever reference, but you came to the rescue! Thank you, Twoflower. I've heard of the book, (from the 1995 video game of the same name, which I've also never played) now I gotta read it.

I'll back you guys up. I love playing lots of games with my controller. Maybe not Portal 2, not all the time, but games that let me kick back on the couch and play them are much preferred. I guess there is an element of the 'PC gamer superiority' going on, but I'd say it's exactly that kind of versatility that makes

So they went from a prefixed lowercase 'e' to a prefixed lowercase 'i'? That's some second-millennium thinking, right there!

Now playing

Using Tetris for your advertising? Hmmm....

@surft: Awwwww yeah. I found out about it from the original io9 article, I gotta find a good comic shop in my area now.

I feel like a merger would be pretty shitty. Most likely the problem is there's lots of corporate bullshit floating around, Microsoft isn't all on the same page as far as what it wants to do. They're probably unwilling to invest so heavily in a service they don't have complete control over, (which Valve wouldn't

Unifying PC games under a single banner and adding common features (like 360 controller support) is an excellent idea, but Games for Windows is shitty interface-wise, especially when enclosed within the already far-superior Steam platform. (GTA IV! Which also had the Rockstar interface)

I think there's a big difference between "No WONDER they got shut down" and "They DESERVED to be shut down." Seems like whether or not they deserved it is a judgment call you'd be hard pressed to make.

I chose male Shepard for the exact same reasons; I KNEW he would be the so-called 'poster boy'

Aren't (weren't?) zombies a little controversial in China?
