Ive driven that engine in the x5. no rattles and accelerates like a bomb. But no good sounds come from it either.

I just figured since this was meant to be a GT coupe, why not build one with the engine from the 550xd, attach it to the ZF 8, and have a car that can take me from Boston to Manhattan, in great style, comfort and speed, whilst not having to refuel to go there and back.

All other considerations apart, I just needed to inform you that indeed in Europe those cars did very well as our daily drivers, didn’t get us fingered (maybe because we seriously lack the pickup bros drivers) and our highway speed limits of 130 Km/h have always been higher than yours. Just to say.
