It's an honorable move, but from the title of the article, I thought magazine publishers had adopted this, not that the AMA had drafted up a policy of advice. The AMA may make suggestions, but it's unlikely that they'll be taken seriously.

When I started seeing these "TSA Friendly" bags, I thought of all the times I have seen TSA in situations that are anything but friendly.

Sounds like a great add-on, but boo to no Mac support (yet)

@LaneLester: So true. You should see the snarkfest that takes place in the office when we review applicant resumes and they're using aol or yahoo accounts.

I agree with the slowness, it seems to be taking forever to "find items" on every page I go to. Plus I tend to surf the same few sites each day and their "awarded" sites are ones I read vis RSS.

It's definitely finding my dream job. I'm in a pretty standard 9 to 5 IT contracting gig and while it's fine, there's nothing about it that challenges me anymore. Unfortunately with cost of living where I am, the salary is the best thing about it.

After reading this Q and A post, friends and I have vowed that we would do anything to make sure that we've always got TP in plentiful supply at any party we throw!

Oh man, that was great! I watched the first 3 and I'm horrified to say that I actually learned some things. The "only been using $75..." line killed me.

One big question for me is which newsreaders, desktop or web allow for authorized feeds. People using sites like LJ and similar and SOL when it comes to using most online readers because they don't have an option to authenticate for specific feeds.

I'm still a loyal VideoRedo user, but will give this a shot to see just how it fares and how automatic it is. Looking at the screenshots, I don't see any preview mode, so if it makes mistakes you may be stuck with the results. Still nice to see something user-friendly and free.

Fantastic! I noticed that they changed Gmail recently and both of my add-ons stopped working, but updates this morning cleared it all up.

My XP Media Center machine crashed, so I purchased a machine with Vista on it. I've definitely had some growing pains, the constant blue screen crash and iPod problems were annoying, but are gone now. My biggest beef is that my webcam "no longer works" with Windows Vista. I haven't yet found a hack to get it up and

As has been said, you can always just right click on the system tray or taskbar and select Task Manager from there, but this is handy for those times when something's taken control over the entire screen.

@Eugene: So true! The only time I see what's on my screen is when I lock my machine to go to lunch.

I no longer have multiple displays in the traditional sense. My mac and pc sit on the same workspace and their monitors are next to each other. I grab desktops from mandolux. S/he produces the most amazing looking images and while most are for single or dual displays, there are some in the archives for triples.

Wow, this worked like a charm, thank you! My PC up'n'died on me about a week ago and I've got a new machine here with Vista (fingers crossed). All of my old data is intact, but I was worried that I'd have to rebuild my entire library, playlists, etc. I think the only thing I need to do is re-download my iPod's

There's good negotiation and just plain lying. I suppose it's similar to test driving a car for movie tickets, except the car dealership knows you're just there for the tickets. It's a retail store, not a flea market or bazaar, I think this falls under reciprocal treatment. Keep up this method of buying and the

Thanks for the heads up. I currently have an XP MCE machine at home that's Vista Ready, but I rarely record tv on it opting for the TiVo files and DirectShow to convert them instead.

With so many free music alternatives (internet radio and Pandora rule my office) available, I don't understand why the article just compares the two services. Are newspapers not supposed to let people know what they can get for free?
