I see this comment a lot on here, but she’s half Italian/half Sephardic Jew…and she looks it as far as I can tell? Could she ease off the spray tan? Probably. But this doesn’t seem like blackfishing to me. Nor does she look “ethnically ambiguous.” She looks like her Wikipedia “Early life” description. 

What happened to Claudia Schiffer? She wasn’t my favourite (not that I necessarily had one, but I thought Campbell and Evangelista were the most striking), but surely she was just as famous? I always thought of them as a group of five, not four. It’s seems like she’s been written out of the history unless I’m totally…

I suspect most celebrities have both vacations and “vacations.”

One of her recent singles has lyrics re: “that 1950’s shit they want from me” and lamented that people expect her to be “a one night or a wife.” The video also featured a transman as her love interest.

This sounds like damning with faint praise. I’ll give you “The Look” and that’s it. Plus even if I liked “It Must Have Been Love,” there is nothing particularly summery about it.

I used to like a few of her songs, to the point of including them on a workout mix. She’s not exactly a chart-topper, so it’s unlikely you’ve heard her without seeking her out. I’ve heard her sound described as indie dance-pop.

See, I think that song beating out Summertime is a no-brainer (Carly Rae Jepsen is a pop master and Will Smith is kinda annoying and a shitty rapper, though I do like Jazzy Jeff), but cannot for the life of me understand why Roxette is doing so well.

Say whatever you want about that little blue bird: it was one of the most recognizable symbols in a world with no monoculture. After the rapidly dwindling existing user base/data, that was the main value of whatever was left of the site.

Oh for sure. I just meant that the marketing campaign 100% worked on me to the point where I was waiting to see what Margot Robbie was going to wear next despite knowing nothing about any of the looks she was referencing because I’ve never owned a Barbie.
