Yep. Was coming here just to say that. That show made me want to read the book (though I still haven’t gotten around to it).

No one underestimates her talents. She’s been a politician for years, hasn’t she? Being cynical about the money backing her decision-making isn’t suggesting she’s not good at being a politician — quite the opposite. She knows how to work the public and keep her corporate backers happy, which takes some skill.

Yeah, this isn’t, “Oh my, her cleavage is showing!” 100% that vest would be a topic of conversation if a man wore it. 

Haven’t seen the new season yet, but I still don’t understand why Greg would rather try his luck with the Roys than take his grandfather’s money and run. The thrill of the chase? He really thinks he has the potential to make more on his own than his grandfather’s share of Royco stock?

I saw Bushnell speak in Toronto when she was promoting “Is There Still Sex in the City?” and she was surprisingly down to earth and delightful.  

Also, major cities are now so expensive, it’s infinitely easier to get by on a dual income. The three non-Carrie protagonists either came from money or had high-status careers, but where I live (Toronto), even a lawyer like Miranda would probably not be able to afford a comparable house without being hitched to…

Ah, I didn’t realized it there was a tiered system for payment, so I thought “they”referred to all of the writers (at least for non-feature-length posts). $50? And when so little content is posted these days? Wow.
