I’m guessing that in addition to thinking about her biological clock (she’s turning 40 this year), her reasoning will be that they’ve already been together for five years (which means he was 22 when they started? ok). 

I will admit it’s not Rich’s best work, but being familiar with his Mariah fandom, I found the Dead Seriousness of the whole effort to be tongue in cheek. But I agree that it doesn’t really read that way.

I get all sorts of bad vibes from this dude, and having a kid with him may be the first in a line of questionable decisions from Brit…and that in no way contradicts the notion that ending her conservatorship was the right idea. 

I delivered my kid pre-vaccine and the only reason it wasn’t completely terrifying was my confidence that all the medical staff at my hospital here in Toronto were doing everything possible to keep me safe.

So it really is all political, eh? I know that pre-Covid vaccine hesitancy tended to cross political lines — from the Goopies to the hippies to the homeschooling Christians — but statistically Covid vaccine hesitancy is dominated by Republicans (if not entirely).

We were waiting to see what her doc said — we thought it might be eczema — but she was just like: “Use some Cetaphil.” (She just had a checkup on Friday.)

This is fair. Though she did go through a phase where she fucking haaaated baths. She also tends to have dry skin so even with all the grossness during the summer, we wash her every other day, max.

Eh, they seem more down to earth than most celebrities, especially Kunis, who reminds me a lot of the Russian Jewish immigrants I knew as a kid. And I guarantee their kids are vaccinated. Honestly, if she wasn’t constantly sticking food in her hair and resisting sunscreen (so that it ends up in her hair), I’d wish…

Phoebe occasionally had some interesting outfits, but yeah, for the most part utterly forgettable.

Ed Sheeran is this generation’s Christopher Cross. Which must be a sign of the waning influence of videos in the post-MTV era (despite image still being everything) because they always said Cross would never have been as successful if his career had started just a few years later.

Fair enough critique. He really is a massive fan, though — he’s even been on music podcasts talking about her (he’s an unofficial expert on her career). This piece might not be his best work. 

Yeah, I feel like I must be missing something. I think it’s supposed to be mean…but in a fun, knowing sort of way? Or something? And I’m just not feeling that.

Apparently that’s Megan Stalter’s whole shtick. Unfamiliar with her work so maybe I’m not understanding it in the context of her ouvre, but it didn’t strike the right chord with me either.
