They always do such a great job! They are my go to podcast right now — so entertaining and I always learn something. Their deep dive into the Jessica Simpson biography is also where I learned about his utter douchatude toward her too (although to be fair, I could have just read her book for that tidbit; no heavy

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SNL has been hit or miss my entire life (late Gen X here), and it’s been like that from day one, as far as I can tell, at least from the few times I’ve seen full vintage episodes. We only get to see the highlights of yesteryear, but even Gilda Radner didn’t knock it out of the park every time.

The podcast You’re Wrong About did a great episode about the Wardrobe Malfunction if you’re interested:

I see Timberlake as noticeably more fuckboyage than average — Britney, Janet, Jessica Simpson (a minor anecdote about him kissing her and showing off about it, but still superdouchey), and, of course, his wife (all the cheating rumours). He is a Nice Guy who is anything but yet he coasts on that rep

Okay, but Justin Timberlake is still an asshole, right? #janet4eva

I think it’s still curly but he blows it out rather than leaning into it.

No worries. Sometimes people comment on two aspects of Dirt Bag at the same time.

Fair.

*who’s — that typo is going to haunt me.

I cut her some slack because she was super young when they got together (she was a teen while he was in his late thirties) and it sounds like he groomed her (how old do you have to be when it’s no longer considered grooming?).

Fuck him in the ear.

I think there are consequences for Armie Hammer because he’s not actually a star. He’s an actor with minimal charisma whose had some measure of success.

I thought they cut him off when he became an actor? Or am I thinking of another overprivileged thespian?

Best username.

Me too. That wasn’t thirsty, it was perfection.

I think a lot of members of the press don’t know what to do with themselves now.

I like that it has colour and art and aspects of her personality represented. Maybe because it was her sister who helped design it, it doesn’t just seem like she handed it off to a design firm. You so rarely see that — Mindy Kaling’s place also comes to mind.

A tie.
