In an ideal world maybe that would work. However, you know Tesla is just using this to make more profit. They should just leave everything as it is when the car was first purchased new.

Yes this is exactly what I said. An auto is an auto. A DCT might be slightly better for a narrow use case, but you know damn well 90% of those M2 buyers on the boards use their cars as stop light drag racers and commuter cars. They would be far better served with a ZF 8HP. They’ll never admit it, but they just want

Yes, I’m only talking about performance applications. Commuter cars are better served by smooth planetary torque converter autos. Or even CVTs.

It’s super unique too. No one can blame Hyundai for being derivative here.

I don’t disagree completely, but I think the apt comparison would be Infiniti in the early 2000s. Before they stagnated, the G35 was the up and coming Japanese BMW. They even made performance “coupe” SUVs before they became all popular these days. The FX and EX were way ahead of their time.

I agree. DSG is barely much better than a good automatic anyway. In a FWD (transverse engine/transmission) car there’s no such thing as a good automatic unless it’s a DCT, but in a RWD longitudinal car, transmissions like the ZF 8HP make DCTs nearly pointless. That’s why you barely see front engine RWD (or RWD based

Then they’d lose their jobs. Unfortunately this is necessary to make a statement. Health is important, but if no shows lost their job, that could be very serious as well. Especially since we’re about to hit a global recession.

Dude, no matter how much you hate Trump, this website would be a great thing. I don’t want him to fail right now because failing would mean more deaths. Let’s hold him accountable when we’re done with this, but for now let’s try to stay as healthy as possible.

When is your trip? NZ has enacted some pretty strict rules for traveleres. Not sure if non-residents can even fly there.

SUVs still have a distinct style. They have higher ground clearance and generally aren’t shaped the same way.

The problem is that large gatherings and fast infection rates will overwhelm our medical system. Deaths will go down if we can delay infection rates. Also, something like 15% of people require critical care. Italy has had its health care network overwhelmed and they are seeing a fatality rate of 5%.

Uh we actually are literally dying. Figuratively dying would be if enthusiasts were dying off or something. Pollution is killing us. More people die due to the effects of global warming each year. I know cars are a relatively small proportion of that, but they still do contribute.

If I don’t get to complain about the usage of “literally”, you can’t complain about people using COVID-19 as the name of the virus. Obviously we know what it means.

It’s got a nice wobble on it. Although, I bet if properly welded this could be strong enough for daily use. This does not look properly welded though. They should have used a jig and strengthened the spoke interface to the hub.

The average for Utah went down. Individual gas stations adjusting pricing for some reason doesn’t mean the whole state raised prices by $.20.

It’s actually cheaper if you take into consideration inflation. Adjusted, oil is ridiculously cheap right now.

First off, more expensive areas charge more just because of the market. Gas stations that pay more to lease their store obviously have to charge more for gasoline. California real estate on average costs more than most other regions.

The batteries alone probably cost over $40k. Not anytime in the near future will it go down significantly in price.

1. RVs need to travel long distances without stopping off for an hour to recharge every 200 miles. I bet range decreases with RVs as well. The average RV gets about 400-1000 miles of range. Though one benefit is that once they’re on a campground they can slowly charge their battery without having to go to a gas

I don’t understand why some people can’t be conscious of the environment AND a car enthusiast. California has strict emissions laws but there are still plenty of enthusiasts here. Cars that meet emissions standards are making 700hp from the factory. Do you need more power?
