LMAO, F10 M5 being the last great car? Ridiculous. The E60 was the last great M car of the hydraulic steering era cars. If you thought the F10 M5 was good, then there’s no reason to think the F90 M5 is not better except for the manual transmission. But the mediocre manual is not enough to save the F10 M5. 

There’s a big difference between what a carmaker will deem acceptable for a car and what an aftermarket tuner will deem acceptable. All cars are made with large tolerances for various reasons. I doubt they would have been OK mating that old transmission to their new 3.3/3.5T.
