We won’t see these mounted on drones for a long time. They require way too much power. It’s nice to have a nuclear reactor to power them.

Ah, armchair internet military commenters. Never change.
They designed the Altima coupe to look kinda similar, but zero parts were reused.
If you like the first gen FX, I’m not sure how you could think the QX70 looks like shit.
Infiniti was actually a lot more like Lexus. They did have one budget FWD model (G20 then the I30) just like Lexus (the ES) but all their other cars were RWD platforms that were actually premium cars in Japan (Skyline/G35, Q45/Q45, Leopard J Ferie/J30). The G35 was considered the absolute best compact sport sedan next…
The front shocks might also have a few additional pounds (of unsprung mass mind you) to accommodate the extra chamber for lifting the car.
Which is why I think what Tesla is doing is irresponsible. But I also believe in personal responsibility. The car itself tells you exactly how to use the product when you turn it on. It warns you about the dangers and how you have to keep your eyes on the road and at attention at all times. If you’re dumb enough to…
Sorry didn’t pick up the obvious sarcasm. Busy day...
Just because America has wildly inequitable compensation doesn’t mean Ghosn wasn’t being compensated fairly in Japan. He was doing fine and left Nissan out to dry. To be clear, if Ghosn hadn’t started messing up Nissan Japan, he would not have been arrested. He deserves to be arrested, but he was definitely getting…
I think compensation should more be compared on an equation including profit margins and increased market performance. Not from a simple revenue value.
First off, I clearly state that Tesla is being irresponsible. Did you bother to read my whole comment?
That’s actually how I park except the opposite way. I don’t bother trying to get my wife to park in any special way but she tends to stick closer to the wall on the right side. So her driver’s door is in the middle of the garage. I back in as close to the left as possible so it leaves a relatively wide space in the…
While it’s a cool feature if it works properly, it’s irresponsible of Tesla to ask their users to beta test this. There are just way too many idiots out there who are too trusting of technology. As a software engineer, that frightens me to no end.
It’s clearly stated that this is a beta feature. Users are responsible for their cars. They must have a line of sight to it at all times. They must immediately stop the vehicle if it’s doing something incorrectly. It’s mostly the driver’s fault.
That’s a legit concern with any Corvette launch. It’d be interesting to see heart attack rates among Corvette owners.
I doubt 6 weeks will do much. Any issues will be found not by GM engineers, but by paying customers 2 years after launch after which GM will just deny the issue exists and quietly update it without admitting fault or remedying early adopters.
While this is a great idea, it’s pretty obvious from the video that she is just projecting a video feed from outisde the car. This system will not work unless the video moves with your eyes. If you lean forward, backward, or move side to side, the image becomes incorrect because your perspective changes.
I wouldn’t be surprised. These days it’s like there’s no more personal responsibility. I don’t like Tesla but I can’t stand families that sue Tesla for using Autopilot. Yes, Tesla should be more responsible for making sure idiots know Autopilot isn’t a self-driving car, but how can anyone trust their LIFE to some…
Cooled seats only came on the convertible so they are definitely unique to that car. Convertibles also usually have unique mounting and seat belt points. $4500 seems ridiculous, but that is a very low volume parts from a last gen car, so it is what it is. The seat probably also has an airbag in it.
Well this list doesn’t necessarily have comparable cars. Of course a high performance sports car will have high maintenance costs. Why compare it to a pickup truck simply because they have similar depreciation levels?
