Different driving dynamic? Unless you can get the Magnetic shocks on the S3, they’re almost identical. If you can get magnetic ride, then I wholeheartedly agree.

But you get the Golf R with a manual, at least. Which is basically the same machine as two of those cars. I personally think the M240i and M2C are plenty interesting and both are available with a stick.

I feel like car companies give us a few unicorns now and then to keep the enthusiasts talking.

You’re like the guy that buys the Mercedes A class and says it’s better than the C class because the interior is fresher.

When I used to travel a lot for work I’d love the little econobox rental cars I got. They’re pretty terrible cars but they’re fun to wring the ever living crap out of.

Yeah I thought of that, but that even further proves that it has nothing to do with weight. By all accounts the M2 and M2C drive similarly except for some expected refinement in the M2C. A lot of people have the mistaken notion that the M2 is this lightweight M car like the E46, but it really is not. BMW just chopped

It’s actually surprising because the M2 (3600 lbs) isn’t much lighter than an M4 (3625 lbs). That’s only 25 lbs. The suspension geometry is basically the same. The major difference seems to be the smaller wheelbase. Is that really all that makes the car that much more fun to drive? I do agree they feel different. It’s

When it comes to junk food, it’s not good to save money and buy in bulk. Your health is worth more than saving a few bucks on a commercial size portion of candy. I love gummy bears, but buying them in small snack packs is one of the easiest ways to impose some self control.

I’ve been using the iOS 13 beta for a while and it’s nice that Carplay screen is not tied to the open app on your phone. And the new 3 tile view is nice. But without HUD integration or 3rd party map integration into the split screen view, the update isn’t all that big.

Yeah, and I bet a lot of people genuinely wouldn’t mind using these on the track. If anything, just for the nostalgia of having owned a G35.

Considering all the software and labor involved, $12k is actually not unreasonable. I wonder if you get to keep the automatic and sell it yourself or if that includes them buying the ZF 8HP from you.

Well, it’s obvious Chevy just wanted to advertise “below $60k” price point and the car is actually really about $10,000 more than the C7 comparably equipped.

I’ve been a huge complainer about C8 comments in Supra articles. But who has been complaining about C8 articles? As someone who’s never owned a Toyota product but has a Chevy SS, I think you’re making up something to complain about. If I’m in an article about the Supra, I don’t want to read a bunch of comments about

I’m surprised the 4Runner can’t be optioned over $50k. That’s really not that much at all for a top trim version of any real utility oriented SUV.

The suspension lift is cool, but if you don’t need it, probably better not to option it. Just seems like more weight (possibly unsprung) and complication. Though, if you need it, it’s most definitely an excellent option.

I wonder if they could expose some loophole so they wouldn’t have to crash test or otherwise homologate an aftermarket manual retrofit kit. That could cut a lot of the cost of manual transmissions.

I’d be shocked if someone didn’t do a manual swap for the Supra. They could basically just use the manual transmission from the upcoming G80 M3 or from the previous F80 M3 or even the previous F30 3 series. There are a ton of BMW parts to do it with.

This is just a more efficient 330i. It’s not meant to be like the ActiveHybrid F30 that used the N55 with a hybrid powertrain to augment the power. No one bought that car, I’m assuming you didn’t buy that car either. People did buy the fuel efficient 330e last generation so this is what is replacing that car. 255hp is

Didn’t they lose a significant amount of power or require a costly retrofit of a urea system? Wasn’t the purpose of the cheating mainly to advertise big torque/power figures while still staying in good economy/emissions standards?

It’s not uncommon for coupes to weight more than their sedan counterparts. It could be for more bracing/reinforcement. It could also be option packages.
