That’s a valid point, but it has nothing to do with comparing the Supra to a C8. And if you don’t care about lineage, every single professional review has gushed about the sportiness of the Supra. It is a good sports car and not overpriced by any means considering it is basically a sportier tuned hard top Z4.

It’s funny because everyone who’s seen the car has said how beautiful the car is. Everyone who makes their decisions based on comments other haters have said are the only ones to say it’s ugly. Draw your own conclusions from that.

You mean the B58. There are many versions of the B58. There’s the original 320hp version used in the BMW 340i. There’s the 335hp version used in the 540i and M240i. There’s a ~370hp version used in the European M340i which inexplicably is a different version from the one used in the European Z4 M40i. The Supra uses

Can we please stop talking about the C8 in every single Supra thread? The Supra is faster and cheaper than the Z4 M40i and the Cayman/Boxster. It will probably be more refined than the C8, though the C8 admittedly looks far more refined than the C7. So it does have a niche.

Yeah I know a manual is not more fun in stop and go, but I always find it worth it when you get a chance to open the car up and take some fast interchanges. I guess I just find it a lost opportunity to buy a Honda and not get the manual. If it was a Corolla, not really much is lost, but Honda makes such wonderful

The Civic Si manual (if it’s similar to all other Honda manuals I’ve drive) is no sweat in heavy Bay Area traffic. Unless it has to be driven by your wife or something, why get an auto CVT car? You should have a little fun whenever you drive anywhere. Driving a soul sapping car 99% of the time and only driving your

Then you say:

The Civic still wins out in every comparison between the auto Civic and Corolla. The Corolla still uses a CVT, it only uses a first gear. For how much better the Civic is in every other aspect, it’s the better car.

Is it authorized and embraced by Ferrari though?

Exactly. All you need to buy is a long extension cord.

We shouldn’t resist the future.

Status is specifically tailored so that only very frequent travelers earn and maintain status. That makes sense. Frequent travelers who spend a TON of their client’s money on tickets by far spend much more money than occasional vacationers. It makes no sense to annoy/frustrate these frequent flyers. And frequent

Yeah, Pinanfarina has designed a lot of cheap cars. In fact, I am not really a fan of their designs outside of Ferrari.

Why? This is not the first man to use his girlfriend’s urine to cheat a drug test and it certainly won’t be the last.

I agree. I once in a while think about getting a Scat pack or Hellcat Challenger as it’s the only 2 door big enough to satisfy my kid’s booster. However, I don’t know if I could live with that old platform and tired interior for 6-8 more years. Imagine driving one of those in 2025, lol. They do sound cool, though.

They all have their strengths. The G70 is more of a traditional luxury sport sedan, the Charger/Challenger is a pure muscle car, and the Stinger meets somewhere in the middle.

A flip up camera is not innovation.

The Cayman with the PDK tested 0-60: 3.9s and the 1/4mi: 12.4@113mph at C&D (who usually get the fastest times). C&D tested the Supra 0-60: 3.8s and the 1/4mi: 12.3@113.

Yes it absolutely is. Faster 0-60 and faster in the 1/4 mile while being cheaper than the base Cayman. How are actual facts and numbers “BS” now?

I’m basing that on road handling numbers taken from a Car & Driver review of the Supra. According to my print magazine, the Supra holds higher Gs and does the slalom more quickly. The Cayman is reviewed as having better steering feel, though.
