Off-road enthusiasts. Toyota trucks (and SUVs) are still very well respected. Do you think “enthusiast” means you have to only like sports cars?

It was a joke because those people are the ones that stereotypically play shooters. It’s not really meant to be serious.

All you need to know is that Nissan and Dodge have pretty bad resale value and the two Toyota cars you just named have some of the BEST resale value in their class.

$50k for a Supra is a great deal. It’s faster than a Cayman, the Z4 M40i, and cheaper as well. It also handles better than those cars (purely from a road-holding perspective, not feel). Though almost everyone agrees the Supra handles better than the Z4 easily. So by all means advertise that the C8 is a great deal on

Found the guy who’s never seen it in person.

With a closed deck, forged crank, and forged connecting rods, you can easily hit 500hp with stock internals on the B58. To be fair, you’re not using stock internals on a 2JZ at 1000whp either.

You had the N54 engine. That engine was probably the least reliable non-S (M car) engine in recent BMW history. The N55 was MILES more reliable and is being tuned easily to nearly the 400hp mark without much issue.

The B58 has a water to air intercooler which doesn’t have the same post cooler charge pipe that the N55/N54 had. Anyway, non-tuned engines rarely had issues with those, only tuned engines. And if you tune, it was pretty much a requirement to replace the charge pipe in those older engines.

For all the guff that BMW gets, their engines are fairly stout. Admittedly, the N54 was a bit of a disaster but the next engine, the N55 has proven to be reliable where it counts. Yes, it requires a new water pump at around 75k miles, but the B58 now uses a belt-driven one that should last much longer. So other than

This is why the just obsoleted M3 ditched the carbon fiber propshaft for a thinner steel one. They had to add a particular filter for stricter emissions regulations in the EU. American cars didn’t have the filter installed, but still used the same shaft. Of course, it hardly made any difference.

If you’re a waiter at a restaurant where the average bill is $20-$30, yes I empathize with you. I’m talking about expensive areas where with a couple drinks, a dinner for 2-3 comes out to $100 fairly easily. Did you read my whole post? I said a minimum tip should be about $4-$5 regardless of the check amount. Whether

The Supra offers a LOT of things the Camaro or Mustang do not like refinement and build quality. I respect the 6th gen Mustang and Camaro for being much better than their previous generation cars, but one thing they’re pretty bad with is interior quality and overall fit and finish. And though they actually can take a

The more appropriate word is “long shot” candidate. “Joke” implies they are not serious. Make no mistake, those long shot candidates are very serious and have real solutions to problems we have. They are more idealists than the conventional candidates though they show a lack of experience in many areas.

Actually, I misspoke. The Supra is $49,990. The Z4 M40i is $63k. So who is overpriced here? Drag races show that the Supra is probably making similar power to the BMW.

Dude forget the C8. The Supra is not overpriced. It’s only overpriced in your head. It’s the exact same car as the Z4 only tuned to be more sporty. It’s a direct competitor to the Cayman. Why should it be priced significantly lower than those cars?

Dealerships only put markups on cars if they sell at those prices. If people are buying Supras at OVER MSRP, then wouldn’t it mean that the car is not overpriced? Obviously the reason people are paying so much is because it is a Supra, not because of any technical merit (though I think it is a gorgeous car). However,

No problem, thanks for responding.

Well, “all” was just hyperbole. Obviously it’s impossible for all weight to be transferred. Also, I didn’t see you said “equal or larger” originally. Interestingly one of my cars, the Chevy SS has larger rear brakes though it has larger calipers in front. I believe in my case, it’s simply because it uses a drum in

Brake feel was the wrong word. Cars would be squirrelly with too much rear bias under heavy braking.
