The Supra comes with what looks like iDrive version 6. My wife’s X5 came with ID5 and is a 2017 model. ID7 started coming on cars early this year and wasn’t even announced until late 2018. How is ID6 outdated already? I think there are still new (if not most) BMWs that have ID6. Feature wise, it has everything you

You know I have a Chevy SS and I never realized it but my rotors are the same way. I guess the Australians do everything backwards. Honestly though, it probably has something to do with using a drum style parking brake using the rotor housing.

We have plenty of other MR cars to look at as an example. All the ones I could find data on have larger front rotors and calipers. It’s not just about weight transfer though. Stopping the back of a car with more force will create a terrible brake feel.

The Supra interior is not outdated. Except for the steering wheel, most of the parts are from the latest generation BMW parts bin or are actually unique to the Supra. Many of the parts people claim are from other BMWs are actually modified specifically for the Supra.

Honestly it might just be to fill out the larger wheels in the C8 since it uses 19" fronts and 20" rears.

You will notice that many mid or rear engined vehicles have equal or larger rear rotors than front.

In turn, this is the internet, deal with it. If you want me to “deal with” circle-jerking about the Supra and C8, then you have to “deal with” me saying it’s annoying.

Wait, when did I say the Supra competes with the C8? Re-read my comment.

I can’t think of any. I’m wondering if this is a misprint or typo. Even a mid-engined car will need most of its braking power in the front. And 13.3" discs should easily fit in most 19" wheels.

Just because the C8 seems like a really good deal doesn’t mean the Supra is overpriced now. The Supra legitimately competes with cars like the Cayman and the Z4. Why is the Supra all of a sudden overpriced?

You also claim stability control was prevalent in the early 90s. That is not the case at all. Most economy cars didn’t have stability control until the mid 2000s. Only crossovers and SUVs started implementing stability control early in the 2000s as standard equipment because of rollover risk. Most sedans and “regular”

I don’t have a beef with you. I was just letting you know they were misunderstanding the original post and that LIDAR does indeed need a flat reflective surface to shane the light waves on. RADAR does not have anywhere near the requirements to aim as LIDAR. I believe that’s one of the reasons RADAR can be used from a

All supercars of that era had manual transmission, how does that make it more impressive? Also, being RWD has virtually no bearing on top speed. Any V6 can be made to output a ton of power with twin turbos. The question is how reliable they can make it and how they can smooth out the power curve.

Considering they’re selling on the used market for over MSRP, I’m sure there’s more to the story than they weren’t able to sell them. A lot of dealerships simply kept the cars as showroom pieces. They were popular with owners of dealerships. It’s completely possible they were just not earmarked as inventory by the

The car is made with unbelievably detailed attention. Basically every body part is carbon fiber and the whole thing sits in a carbon fiber tub. The V10 is beyond reproach. The car’s interior is better than just about every other sub $500k low volume supercar in existence. Early reviews commented on how impeccable the

Do you consider the R8 V10 a supercar? If so, then the NSX is definitely a supercar.

The NSX is basically in the same performance category as the R8 V10 and the 911 Turbo (non S). The 911 Turbo has slightly better launch control, though.

RADAR is not the same as LIDAR (laser).

Look up LIDAR. That’s the most accurate way to catch speeders. It requires a flat, metallic or reflective surface to work. So the license plate and/or front headlights are the best targets that police usually use. They have a viewfinder to aim the LIDAR and get the signal back from. Without a license plate, the

Super weak argument. Most Uber/Lyfts have stickers on their windshields anyway. Just require them all to attach a static (non-permanent reusable) sticker on their windshield. Maybe even with a number on it.
