Yeah, but is this just a situation where since you have access to a lot of different cars, you’re just enamored how decent the cheap one is? Not whether the extra $7k is worth all the substantial upgrades? After all, you’re certainly not keeping this car. You’re not using it as a daily driver. You’re just testing it

There will also probably be far fewer Supras in the wild. Which is bad for parts, forum discussions, and general knowledge about the car.

Those people don’t care if there are more options. They just don’t want the only option to be a low powered one. Though I personally am fine with the 86 as released, considering even the Miata is now turbocharged, Subaru really needs to turbocharge that motor.

I’m fairly sure the BMW 530i also has the same or slightly earlier version of that engine. It’s probably the single most commonly used engine BMW sells in America.

You’re not thinking of the transition. First off, Li-ion batteries are EXPENSIVE. They are the reason currently BEV cars are far more expensive than their ICE counterparts. Also, charging infrastructure simply does not exist to allow a person to safely drive anywhere they want any time they want. So no matter what

Is this a late April Fool’s joke? Is Ford trying to brand themselves as a trendy Silicon Valley type company or something?

Only one manufacturer per model. Toyota will probably co-develop the next 4Runner with Land Rover.

True. Especially the S55 engine in the M3/M4. They actually sound worse than the N55/B58 in the 335/340.

It’s just a 3 series wagon.

Those things are huge though. The M340i is a better option for people who want a mid-sized wagon. It is pretty, though.

A large water pump. Have you ever lived in a house with a sump pump?

Ah his hard drug days. My friends and I used to get stoned and watch his Austin City Limits video. Great stuff. His transformation in that video is really amazing. It’s sad that he ultimately died in a helicopter accident.

The new car smell out of GMs is the worst, IMO. Still makes it smell like a new car, but it smells weird.

It is not outclassed by everything it competes with. It is completely competitive with everything in its price range like a 911 Turbo or R8. It may not punch much above its weight anymore, but it’s completely wrong to say that it’s outclassed by everything it competes with.

The A/C actually uses 15-20% of the batteries while driving. The heater and window defroster use even more. There’s a good chance climate control definitely does crack the top 5 things in the car. The only things I can think of that might use more (other than the motor of course) are maybe the entirety of the car

Uh, all those cars look MUCH better without license plates. Also, Euro plates are much better looking because they’re skinnier. I’d pay money if we had the option to use Euro sized license plates. I’d pay even more not have a front plate (although I drive around without one anyway).

The type of person to think that calling a Nissan a Datsun is somehow an insult is obviously just biased. Yes, you finally found a six cylinder that sounds really good, unlike that Alfa which just sounds like an old V6. Interestingly, I think the VR6 sound a lot like the VQ exhaust note with just a bit more aggression.

Now playing

You think the Busso has the sweetest exhaust note? I don’t think that’s even true just for V6 engines much less cars like the Lexus LFA or Ferrari V12s.

I’ve had BMW NA straight six, turbo six, LS V8, VQ V6, and a few Honda VTEC four cylinder engines. The VQ V6 was one of my favorites. It sounded like Nissan actually spent a little time tuning it. I think a problem is that aftermarket exhausts for the VQ tend to sound really bad for some reason.

The M240i, a car labeled as an “M Performance” car does not have an LSD. It has an open differential. Sorry, I misspoke, you can get an LSD option for about $3000. $3000 for a simple clutch type LSD. Once you add that LSD option (which is a MUST for a car like this) and just the baseline premium package, you’re at
