Well I think the implication is that earlier cars DID have the sensors enabled. Maybe there was a change in software or something that failed to enable those sensors and that software was installed on September of 2017.

The Accord has always been the “enthusiast” mass market car. It’s not always super sport, but usually either the first or second best dynamic car in the FWD midsized sedan market.

Judging by the proportions, this is just another transverse engine FWD crossover possibly with an AWD option. So obviously no modern LS engine would fit. Nor would the car be very sporty to begin with. 

Why compare an M5 lol? A comparable car would be an M4. The M4 weighs 3530 lbs.
