Lexus badged cars are already sold in Japan.
True. Resale value is dictated by emotion. People will buy a car like the Mustang primarily by its performance options.
I think you’ve lost track of what I’m talking about. I’m simply refuting your assertion that chipping a car or overclocking a CPU is like software unlocking a feature. it is not. A car’s drivetrain is designed for a certain level of power and a CPU is binned for a certain speed rating.
For a 1 hour flight which is fairly common in Europe? For anything over 2 hours I usually buy business or first class tickets, but for a one hour flight, I just fly whatever I can. I would never take my family on those kind of seats, but if I were just going to Vegas by myself, I’d consider it. I’m still fairly young,…
Whoa hold on a minute there. While I agree with you in spirit, some of your details are very wrong. A car CAN be chipped to produce more power, but the rest of the drivetrain has been engineered to last 150k miles at a certain amount of power. When you tune it, you have to up the maintenance and even then you’re still…
Catch-22
They filed for a patent. Big difference.
I have been recently just booking flights on business or domestic 1st class for my family when we travel. It kinda stings booking a $800 ticket for a 3 year old, though. It definitely stings when I purchase the ticket, but by the time we finish our trip and come home, I never regret it. We don’t value our comfort…
Right now, with our infrastructure, the absolute best drivetrain option are plugin hybrid EVs. They usually have about 50 miles of EV range which in effect makes them pure EVs for about 90% of the population. They also have what amounts to a range extender ICE motor which can be used when a person occasionally wants…
I personally just call all vehicles of that shape, SUV. Some pedants insist that only body on frame vehicles can be called SUVs so the Ford Explorer and Jeep Grand Cherokee would be considered CUVs. I consider CUVs a type of SUV so really they’re all SUVs. I don’t know, and I don’t really care. I just don’t want…
1) Meh, maybe you’re right, but minivans as a category are pretty ugly. They’re almost pure utilitarian automobiles.
Overall, SUVs are much easier to make comfortable (I’m just going to call all CUV/SUVs SUVs for the purposes of this comment). I think it’s a combination of weight, suspension travel and higher seating position. It just feels comfortable when you drive an SUV. The sportier, practical ones with lower ride heights still…
Not all SUVs are ugly dude. I don’t own one, and I don’t like them, but SUV designs have really come into their own these days. This X3 was ugly, even by SUV/CUV standards back then and it’s ugly today. It’s an especially ugly example. Also, the first gen X3 had quality issues that I don’t think were fully fixed until…
I don’t drive a crossover (I’m a coupe/sedan manual transmission die-hard), but you sound like someone that has never actually driven a modern crossover for any length of time or ever.
I have no doubt these are great coolers, but are they really that much better than a $20-$40 cooler of equivalent size? Even those cheap coolers will keep their contents ice cold for 2-3 days. Are these more for their durability? Because I’ve never had a cheap cooler that didn’t last much longer than I wanted.

Doesn’t look like the first gen or second gen Altima. I mean, it has a similar outline, but the sheetmetal all looks unique. Headlights are different. Front fascia is obviously different. Wheels are different. Obviously there are familial similarities, but I think that’s about it.
There’s a fine line between an ebike and a scooter or moped. It’s probably just an issue with registration. Also, I think there’s a problem with delivery drivers running red lights like cyclists do. The problem is there are a lot of delivery people on ebikes and they are pretty fast. SO it’s just kind of a mess.
The pedals aren’t synced up to the rest of the video. They’re too slow.
Because we care about cars so much, we generally won’t care where something is made. Japan, France, or America, we will pick the performance tire that has the best specs and reviews. However, let’s say you just needed some decent tires for your winter beater or something. You had the option between two equally…
