These days, I feel like most customers of Japanese cars prefer that the car be made in Japan. I know I would, honestly. The people that feel very strongly about buying American made might not even care that their Hyundai or Toyota were made in America. For a lot of those people, it’s more of a nationalist thing.

Why? Because it’s a far more efficient mode of transportation than taking a cab a short distance? Or it’s far easier to store than a bicycle?

Honestly, a Razer scooter makes more sense. A friend of mine used to use keep one in his car for stuff like that. A bicycle is obviously better on the road, but the scooter is far easier to shuttle around.

Tesla sold more cars in December than they ever had and their sales dropped precipitously in January. Looks to me like Tesla just gamed the sales numbers to look good at the end of the year. We’ll see how they do this year. As an American and a Californian, I’d like to see them succeed and I’m glad they are doing

Leading with California sales is one of the most milseading things I’ve ever seen. California provides additional credits as well as providing one of the most mature supercharger networks (that would be prohibitive to build in other areas). It’s also the home state of Tesla and home to a ton of rich tech workers and

Koenigsegg has also somehow done this and kept the weight to around 200 pounds, or nearly half of what a traditional dual-clutch weighs, it said.

As long as the dealership is required to either affix a sign on the car that indicates there is an open recall on it, I’d also be OK with it. The problem is, you know a lot of shady dealerships will slip it in during the financing portion. They’ll just have you sign a small slip of paper “notifying” you of the open

Then the dealership that conducted the recall should fix it. Of course, knowing Ford dealerships, I know that’ll probably never happen. They probably just didn’t reassemble one of the panels correctly. Possibly the side mirror housing or the lower window trim.

The quality and construction of a Model 3 is not even as good as a Civic, Corolla, or Mazda 3. The only reason it’s considered a “luxury” car is the price. Look at a graph of the Model 3 compared to those cars I just listed and get back to me.

A company car? Why?

I wasn’t downplaying it. I was being realistic. I never said it wasn’t a big deal. In most comments I made sure to say that it definitely is wrong. I’m not addressing emotions here.

So you think it’s not as bad if a service tech takes your $30k car out for a joyride as it would be if it were a $100k car? Dude, BOTH are wrong. The price of the car doesn’t matter.

Fine, $250. That’s barely even worth going to small claims court for. I think the owner deserves maybe $150 since he got use of a loaner AND they needed to at least put a few miles on to test drive the car. There’s zero chance any sane person would sue for that amount though. That’s a waste of the court’s time,

lol geez man, we’re talking about a hypothetical situation here. I don’t think you know what the court system is for. All that TV has made you think you can take anyone to court for any small thing.

That’s right, I don’t get to decide, but neither do you. And certainly not based on price. A $30k GTI can be much more special to one person than a $120k Maserati is to its owner. In fact, this is often the case.

For people like Jade, college isn’t about “being ready” or getting an education. It’s just another part of your CV.

It’s not liker her parents stole her money or took out a car loan in her name and defaulted. They paid $500k to get her into a school she otherwise had no chance of getting into. Everything she has she owes to her parents.

I think a better analogy would be the plumber throwing a party at your house after fixing the water leak. He left a few stains on your rug and ate some food from your refrigerator.

Sigh, that IS what people want though, isn’t it?

You said exactly what I did. Did you bother reading my entire comment?
