There’s only one real answer here. Forget $20k. Buy a $10k Honda Civic hatchback. It has the space, fuel economy, reliability, and the manual. It’s also considerably cheaper which is important because this guy shouldn’t be buying a $20k car (even financed) in his financial situation.

I think it’s policy at the dealership I go to. My wife’s SUV which has 300 hp (so not exactly hooning material) also has its dashcam unplugged. I’m out of warranty and free service now, though, so I will probably rarely take my car back there.

I watch movies and TV with them through my windows desktop and there is a slight lag, but not bad enough to ruin it. On my iOS device, there is little to no discernible lag. Maybe it has to do with with audio profile it’s using. Typically SBC (the lowest fidelity) profile has the least lag.

I’m just saying he doesn’t deserve all three, just one. Let’s be honest, the tech probably caused about $250 worth of wear at the most. Replacing any one of those things will cost significantly more than that. A clutch replacement would cost over $1000 for a clutch that probably lost like 1-2% of its life at WORST.

The A6 and A7 are nearly the same size. The A7 is only 2" longer and that’s mostly in the body panels and trunk. Wheelbase on both cars is identical. The A8 is over a FOOT longer than both cars. The A8 wheelbase is 8" longer than both cars. The A7 and A6 are within 60 lbs of each other. The A8 is over 400 lbs heavier.

Then they simply will not service your car. They are legally allowed to unplug your dashcam. I’m considering just installing an interior dash cam with a view of the front seat and front windows.

Uh, ok man. I’ve never met a car guy that thought this was confusing. I’m not sure what your thought process is why you think a car that looks exactly like an A6 on the inside with a sloped back is somehow a “mini A8". It’s a pretty simple concept.

It’s not confusing at all. BMW now does the same thing. Odd number is the traditional sedan while the next even number is the “coupe” version. The A7's interior is just like an A6. The BMW 6 series had the same interior as a 5 series. The BMW 4 series had the same interior as the 3 series.

When you bring in a manual car, you are much more likely to experience shit like this. Whenever I take my cars into the dealers, the mpg counter always goes WAY down and nowadays my dash cam is always unplugged.

They should offer more than a refund though. The owner doesn’t deserve new tires, brakes and a new clutch, no way. But maybe he should just get one of those things. Maybe just new rear tires, or just a new clutch.

Yeah, this is creepy, but why are you expecting an apology exactly? If you’re getting paid $20/month, you had better understand what it is you’re selling. Did FB misrepresent what that $20/month was for? Did they not spell out exactly what they were going to do? Receiving $20/month for basically “nothing” is

Let them have their delusional fantasies that no one is special and that they could have done a better job if they were put in that position. That’s really what it comes down to. Minimizing the accomplishments of others. I don’t approve of what FB has become, but Sandberg definitely directly made the company a lot of

You’d also have to acquire the center console from a European 4 cylinder Z4. The layout is completely different since the iDrive controller and buttons have to be moved to make room for the shifter.

I understand that, but the business model for cars and dealerships is a bit different. It might also have with taxes. Separating the transport fees probably reduces sales tax and registration fees paid on the car.

It might also be a way to account for differences in transport fees. If there is a sudden spike in gas prices, that fee might go up to account for that. Or it might be different depending on if the car was made domestically or overseas.

Yeah and the water pumps that fail in BMWs are made by Pierburg. Bad electronics in VWs are made by Bosch. Poorly welded frames in Jeeps are made by Ohio Module Mfg.

Title has a spelling error. “Anti-Semetic”

The first four gear ratios on the Ford 10 speed are basically the same as the ZF 8HP. Ford just adds an extra gear ratio between 4-5 and an extra overdrive gear compared to the 8HP. This is unlikely to affect acceleration times. It just fills in a gap before the 1:1 ratio and adds an extra overdrive gear for

I doubt it feels like a CVT any more than an 8HP does. It just has slightly smoother shifts up top. But even the 8HP has barely

It’s a completely different transmission. No reason to believe it’ll be as bad as that one was.
