It could work if they left enough space under the tablet for the airbag to deploy. The hinge idea someone mentioned is idiotic, but simply having a soft section under the screen where the airbag could deploy from would be sufficient in covering the tablet and the steering wheel in a collision. After all, people

Have you seen how closely some women drive? A lot of people are literally within an inch of having their chest touching the steering wheel. There is no way adding a swinging tablet would work for these drivers, which is a surprisingly large percentage of drivers.

While I know the wording says otherwise, I don’t think selburn6 meant that only people from other countries should go. The main theme is that you shouldn’t just decide to go now that the parks don’t have any rangers. Or if you CAN make alternate plans, do so.

I think a big reason the Maxima was such a success at the time was that ALL Maximas had the sweet V6 engine in it. First, it meant that all Maximas had a reputation for being fast. Second, it probably simplified manufacturing for Nissan only having to stock a single drivetrain.

Natural Gas is the “fastest growing ... segment” because it’s very cheap on the market right now so it’s simply replacing coal’s share of the market. It’s also far cleaner than coal. It’s almost a guarantee that we will severely curtail fossil fuel usage before the supply actually runs out if we want to keep the Earth

I mean, in the video it’s obvious the trains stay coupled. That’s the first thing I noticed, how they didn’t have to detach the trains to rotate the cars.

Unless the cop specifically wants to give you a ticket for something/anything, they will only catch people for the obvious offensese like speeding or running a red light. Most cops don’t even care about stop sign rolling as they all do it themselves. Traffic enforcement in the US is a joke. Doing 12 over on a 70mph

Yes, everyone in the room was a terrible person. I’m sure your righteousness would have made everything better. Fuck you. There were adults in the room. This kid made an adult decision on his own. If you bothered to get your news from an ACTUAL new source and not the biased and filtered crap that is this website,

I always felt that 14-15" wheels were a bit small. I thought 17s were the perfect size for most cars and 18" is good for most sporty cars. I would never go above 19" in a road car unless it had at least 40 profile tires with huge wheel wells.

Uh, why do you think the insurance industry did that? Because they didn’t want people dying in rollover accidents. Because it saved them money by not having to pay the costs of injured or dead passengers. I fail to see how this is a bad thing. This is the type of thing lobbying is GOOD for. To create good legislation

Well it is an inline 6. That’s like saying if you close your eyes, an LS3 sounds like a hopped up Flathead. It’s simply not true. Most V8s have a similar sound but are all distinct. I remember hearing the new Mercedes inline 6 and noting it sounded a lot like a BMW. But it was still pretty distinct. And this car

BMW’s inline 6 motors are awesome. I’ll put up with $500 of maintenance every 100k miles. Besides, the B58 now uses a mechanical water pump.

That’s why you put your favorite kids in the second row.

There are 10 times as many fatalities from front and side impact crashes as there are from rear impacts. Being hit from the rear is definitely safer for the occupants of the vehicle. There’s a rather large crumple zone with no big hunk of metal (engine) to push into the cabin.

You’re pretty wrong. While a car from the early 2000s is much safer than a car from the 80s, cars these days are even safer. Computer aided design of crumple zones as well as multitudes of airbags, impact beams, and high strength steels have made very modern cars far safer than those earlier cars.

Can’t be worse than Tesla.

It’s not hard to imagine that something like 10% of Corvette purchases would do well to buy a Camaro SS or ZL1. A lot of recently married people might be pressured to buy a car with seating for four and a bit more practicality than a Corvette.

Aren’t the batteries on a different loop here? It looks like the chiller only cools the coolant for the batteries. The drive unit gets its own radiator cooled coolant.

expansion tanks crack all the time. Ask any BMW owner.
