Here’s the problem, though. The reason all subprime borrowers are charged high interest rates is to subsidize the ones that inevitably default on their loans. If they were charged a normal interest rate, and the service fees are refunded for on-time payments, then who is going to pay for the defaults? A lot of these

Regardless of how you, me, or Patrick feel about the E36 M3, it is absolutely true that it is the black sheep of the M3 family. Few people think it was a bad car, but most consider it among the top two “worst” M3s along with the F80. In the grand scheme of things, all M3s are pretty good. It’s all relative.

Not the point. Other cars don’t seem to have this problem. If BMWs, Mazdas, and Fords are tracked without their side curtain airbags deploying, then there is a problem with GM.

Geez man. I thought you were talking about sarcasm regarding about finding a silver lining (presuming you hate Nissan and their CVTs). It’s pretty ambiguous what you were being sarcastic about.

Actually, taking another look at it, this Scirocco probably did a muffler delete. The box you see is likely a resonator and the pipes coming out from it is an aftermarket axleback (glorified pipes). Actually, this could be a full exhaust because that resonator doesn’t even look stock.

But it’s all real piping. It’s part of the design of the car like the creases in the body work or the kink in the windows. Do you loathe any part of the car that is styled? Would you prefer just a box with plain aluminum wheels with no design and no creases anywhere on the car?

It’s interesting that a lot of GM cars seem to deploy their side curtain airbags on tracks and autocross. There are examples of Chevy SS, Camaros, Cadillacs and Corvettes exhibiting this behavior. Their sensors might not be calibrated properly.

Sounds like you got caught up in the circle jerk and just can’t admit when you’re wrong. Shame.

Instead of replying to obvious troll or uninformed comments, why not just ignore them? They end up getting to the top of the comments and are the first thing people see.

I’m just going to assume this is a terrible troll. No one could actually be this dense.

You can get into a 2-3% online CD or 1.75% savings.

Sorry to insult you, that was childish, I agree.

I had a 99 Altima sedan. It was an ugly, but very reliable and well built car for the price. Made before the Renault-Nissan alliance.

She is financially illiterate and was taken for a ride by the dealer that sold her the car. And/or she bought a car she couldn’t afford.

While that is true, it’s also true that 5year/60k mile warranty (powertrain and bumper to bumper) is still a class-leading warranty by itself. The typical car warranty is just 3 year/36k miles. Luxury brands are typically 4 year/ 50k miles.

While I won’t exclude the possibility that the fire is a manufacturer’s defect, there is no way to know that. Did you know that a lot of fires are started by rodents chewing through wires and causing sparks? A lot of fires are also started when dried leaves get caught in the engine bay and people don’t clean them out

Not necessarily. While I usually put 30-50% down payments on cars, I don’t believe that is the smartest financial decision. It would make more sense for me to invest that money or even just put it in a 5 year CD and just pay the extra $30/year for GAP insurance.

Or you can make a big down payment on the car. This is why i usually make large down payments on cars. It may not be the smartest decision, but it helps me sleep at night.

I hope you’re not an adult that makes big financial decisions.
