You should try to get your hands on a base model one to review. I'm curious what the score would be without all the AMG goodies, would this car be any good were it not for it's big power numbers?

all those colors in the engine bay make me suspect that this car has had its fenders replaced and you only do that after a pretty bad accident. It also looks to have an aftermarket Edelbrock carb on it, so someone attempted and apparently failed to tune it at some point. That could be fun to fix too..... Without

I agree that braking is an important consideration, but for developing a standard which includes it would be more difficult because you have to consider trailer brakes, which would mean specifying a specific trailer being towed for the test. Also that would make the results of the test trailer specific so it all gets

5th: 35-54 they years you have a family to consider so you are no longer able to live near where you work and are forced to commute would be more accurate. I would say prime working years start at least 10 years earlier unless we've gotten real lazy.

From seeing housing shows, I've seen people say no to a house because the interior paint is the wrong color, they didn't like the carpet and it didn't have stainless steel appliances. If that is your idea of a fixer upper, than you should have no problem taking care of that stuff with mimimal experience. Anything more

Working on cars isn't rocket science, we live in the youtube age, if you have a common car chances are you can find a video and instructions on how to do or fix what ever the problem is!

I would guess that is reading a thermocouple on the turbo somewhere, that's really just a guess, but knowing the EGT's for a turbine engine are really important for making it not destroy itself

Most AVR's have thermal cutouts that will just make them stop working until they cool down. Also the side vents are clear and the thing on top has feet so it doesn't look that bad. Of course if you are blasting music for a couple of hours it may cut out even if those vents are all open....

Yikes! 34k that is 40% more than the base price of the truck and a lot of gas... Time will tell if it is a reliable engine that can get half a million miles to maybe make it worth the cost

What is the actual cost of this thing? they give the base price, which I assume is the v6 and then say how much more than the 5.7 it costs (but not how much that costs).

Maybe you could try not doing endurance races with them? crazy I know, but bare with me here, what if in stead of running 300 miles you ran 100 miles, huh? huh? need a longer event? then do what sprint cars do and run heat races and an A and B main.

But I'm guessing you don't sound like the Dude, though I'm not sure I like being sold a Hyundai by him anyway...

everyone thinks they deserve a T-bone, but there is so much more pork on a goat, they are the most versatile animal you know!

Good point on the not shitty small car argument. There was an important detail in the article, that many small cars like the Civic receive good ratings in crash tests. That is an important take away that people seem to be missing, there is a whole lot of cars between a Fit and a Ferd Fteen hundred SUV and you don't

I've seen these stuck on lots of vehicles. I always look at them and assume that they would quickly destroy the suspension of most cars if they were driven hard. giant piece of unsprung weight, big moment arm, lots of traction. So many possibilities for breaking stuff, I just wonder what part will fail first!

if it is spray in they mask it off, if it is drop in they design holes there...

Neutral: I'm really not sure how much more "high tech" the STI really is than the Corvette. About the only piece of tech that the STI has the Corvette doesn't is its Awd system that has been around for 10 years and I don't really think of being high tech anymore.

Well, GT has never been known for great engine sounds, that said it does sound "i6ish"

Well once upon a time the government represented the people, so what the government said was what the people wanted and what the people want is the real question here

options are good. The best way to fit this car in the product line would be to have the base C7X with the roll cage, suspension, aero ect. and then option the engine from all the stuff available in the GM performance catalog that will fit and charge accordingly
