I had a conversation on Facebook about this very event. Let me paraphrase my responses here:

Former Dept. of Public Health Air Pollution Control state employee here..

I can never entirely decide which faction I blame more for the “only idiots and outlaws ride motorcycles” view the rest of the public (mostly for good reason) has of us.... The Middle-Aged Harley Pseudo(and actual)-badass crowd or the Sport Bike Squids...

Exactly. I haven’t read the study, so perhaps they did address this, but if all they did was take measurements on a street it means that they have equally weighted ALL vehicles. This means that if I were to drive my 68 Olds, a decidedly non-green vehicle, on that particular day, it would be equally weighted with all

That’s what I was thinking, we’ll see next week how they work on track.

By the time U.N. SC Res. 1973 was passed, the Libyan Air Force was in shambles. As a matter of fact, a top-ranking NATO general declared NATO could begin conducting air operations over Libya “... with impunity.” Air defense by Libya was so non-existent, no-one even bothered to conduct enemy air-defense suppression

Bring back “Project Car Hell”!

It does looks like the sort of thing one would make in their garage, not something you would pay money for (when you could buy/convert an electric bicycle for 1/3 the price).

My recently donated B5 Passat went to a women’s shelter with 17 years of service records, even though it was “just a donation.” The ex-Honda technician who picked it up knew the car pretty well and couldn’t believe I had all the records in a binder. Nothing fancy, mostly a DIY list of work in an Excel book, plus tons

Agreed, as hard is it may be to believe, Harley Davidson is actually going to water cooling. They're doing it a pretty neat way though by keeping identical engine design, but adding a water jacket around the cylinder.

well, but you can't drive to many of these places, and you certainly can't fly a fixed wing in. The truth is that there are large areas of the state that aren't covered. I know you think this is a minor use case, but if you could retire your fixed wing and rotor craft with one craft that could do double duty AND

I'm thinking that the braided metalic tubing you see coming off of the shock is something akin to McLaren's hydraulic "sway bar". If so, that's a pretty trick way of incorporating it.

Write your congressman.

Basically my exact thoughts when I bought my FR-S! Now (i.e. when I'm young, single, childless, and have no real focus apart from my own needs) is the best time to own a sports car.

I was thinking that.

I worked in an OEM dyno lab, it is absolutely a science with very little art involved. You only hear the art claim because tuners without power train engineering degrees are getting wild statistical variations and don't know how or can't control their cells.

I die a little inside every time someone calls it an art.
