The beauty of owning this car is redlining it almost anywhere without breaking the law. As far as “enjoying “ the car during the test drive, one curve told me everything I needed to know without going above 5,000 rpm. That plus the fact there were plenty of articles written about the power delivery to know where the

And to think I actually started to feel bad about accusing you of trolling.

You also mentioned it was “inferior” with reference to the Miata RF. If you were really intending to compare it to a Camaro then why not just say so. You were either making a very confusing comparison or trolling.

The only time I really enjoyed a sunroof was at night.

I didn’t want to go there, but I’m glad you did!

How is it inferior to the RF? Nearly identical 0-60 times, and it beat the RF on the track in a Head to Head episode of Motor Trend? And that was just the base model Toyota GT86, not the ts. Both cars offer a lot of fun and value for the money.

Are you in in charge of alternate facts or just stupid? 170 hp is not greater than two hundred. A top speed of 127 mph vs 143? It doesn’t put up a single performance number that is better, contrary to your ridiculous assertion in your first post. Show me your claim supported by a credible source as opposed to what you

Too heavy. I just crank both windows down.

That sounds pretty close, I am thinking 220 hp and 170 ft lbs of torque.

In the turbo version yes, just like the FA20 turbo engine in the WRX. They will have to raise the redline and compression ratio to get over 230 hp in naturally aspirated form.

Sure, that will work. Nobody is buying crossovers instead of sedans.

It has been stated over and over here and everywhere that a header and tune can effectively erase the torque dip. It still won’t be as sweet as a six cylinder engine like your 911, but it is a fun car to drive.

A standard Golf is a full second slower than a BRZ/86 equipped with a manual transmission. And it would be destroyed on the track by one. Complain all you want about your belief that it doesn’t produce enough power and/or torque but get your facts straight first.

You are basically describing an Alfa Romeo 4c. Which sells for 65 thousand dollars.

I think Toyota is serious about their legacy as a manufacturer of sports cars.

My guess is that the FA24 in the Ascent is slightly detuned just as the FA20 turbo engine made less power in the Forester XT than the WRX.

If Detroit commits the same blunders that had them reeling on the ropes before, they have nobody to blame but themselves.

BMW is projecting their roadster version to weigh less than 3200 lbs. Road & Track is speculating that the Supra will weigh less than that. The GT350 weighs almost 3800 lbs. The initial engine offering will be a non-turbo BMW inline six making around 340 hp and the same amount of torque. A twin turbo version is also

I don’t know, but we are probably going to find out..

You and a lot of people are going to be surprised.
