I dunno if you’ve seen the news in the last 30+ years, but we’re closer to third world than first world.

I inherited from my MIL a 2017 Subaru Legacy Premium as a “hand-me-down” car to give to my young son, and drove it 1000 miles back home. When the trip began, I was cursing the lack of power, the annoying and intrusive safety features, and the wallowing feel in corners. I was certain when I got home it would be given

I’d take it over all of those except the CT5 and the Stinger AWD.

Although the new Acura concept has me looking forward to an updated TLX.

I’d have it over the Camry, IMO.

I think yuppys died out with the ‘08 crash. There just aren’t the same concentrations of childless late 20's to early 30's folks making good money. Hipsters are broke, or look like it, and 'techies' are the new yuppies. I think.

Paul Newman (P.L. Newman in racing worlds) Started out terrible. He went thru 3 cars the first day he showed up at Lime Rock! He had to work at it—and he did. Granted that for most of his career he was in the best car in the field, you can’t win the runoffs without some serious skills.

Probably trying to justify the money he spent on the 720s

Theyll stick with Trump as long as he keeps giving them billions in welfare.

What was lost? Sales of American made cars in China are down by 100,000 units since Trump started his easy to win trade war.

Actually after Nixon began normalizing relations with China in an effort to weaken Russia. As part of an effort for that Republican president to get us out of Vietnam.

They haven’t stolen anything from me.

Ironically, it is with this very Gen of A4 (first ?) that The small Audi became a true yuppie mobile like the 3 series and the c-class.

Paul Newman was an excellent driver. He was serious about it and he drove (successfully) over a sustained period. Newman unarguably was a more successful driver than McQueen. I meant to cast no shade on P.Newman. He, Garner, Dickie Smothers and others were part of a Hollywood crew that got interested and serious about

Most cars, but especially sports cars like that are emotional acquisitions, and people will buy what makes them feel good.

Agreed - and I already thought it looked good in photos.

Yes, exactly

It looks good in real, much wider than on picture (thatswhatshesaid.gif)

Your momma.

That’ll work. Still like it. My second car ever was a 1987 Honda CRX Si and always loved them :-)

TBQH, if you drive this thing in any way that remotely takes advantage of what it is, you will not notice the fuel economy change.
