Because in all likelihood it will be just as fast as a GT350 and handle much better than one. And unless you fancy yourself a rhinestone drag racer, the Demon and Hellcat are kind of a joke.
As much as I love having a manual transmission, I would have no issues with a good dual clutch transmission, and frankly would welcome it in traffic, bad weather, etc.
Everything you said is true. And yet Toyota is committed enough to sports cars that they will have two in their lineup with the GT86 and the upcoming Supra.
If I was going to be in the market for a sedan under 30 grand it would either be this or an Accord. There is nothing “meh” about either of them unless you are a weirdo like Torch...
I can’t even get 92 octane and I live a completely unregulated oil producing red state.
They will find this clown and he will lose his license.
And your point is what? If I am more skilled at high speed driving than the average LEO I should be allowed to flagrantly violate the law?
I’m sure it’s fine, it’s not like Z06 owners have experienced any engine problems...
Hey, if someone wants one that bad, they are more than welcome to it.
True enough. If you spend a little TLC on these, you can make them more reliable than when they were new. My friend had a GW, and it was a great freeway cruiser/fishing/hunting vehicle. He didn’t have the time to maintain it however, and sold it within a year.
The truth is that all of its contemporaries were better all around sports and GT cars. I would have bought a a 300z twin turbo or an RX-7 before even thinking about the Supra. Way too expensive, not a pure sports car, and not nearly a good enough GT car either.
How bout a nice Subaru Baja instead? You can find these fairly cheap these days, although the nice examples have held their value.
I had an older Supra, it was a nice car, but there are so many great modern day options these days that I am not the least bit nostalgic for it.
Rebuilding a Pantera was an imperative, given the atrocious build quality from DeTomaso.
This is just nonsensical. In the next year you could buy a new Supra for around fifty grand that will be superior to this car in every way.
You don’t have to, they are more than capable of stopping themselves.
No, now I understand why both federal and state governance are necessary, unless you think car manufacturers should be required to build 50 different versions of their models to comply with each states regulations.
I hopped on their site pretty early as well, and almost canceled my subscription a couple times. The site is run better, but uneven content and quality are still a problem. Still, they do have some very good programming and is a lot better than suffering a YouTube video.
