I always remember that video. 2 cops are interacting with a citizen. a guy across the street is recording. like 50 feet away. Cop goes “hey you’re interfering with an investigation”. the guy recording is like “I’m across the street” then the cop approaches him and tackles him.

Unless the passenger says they’re live streaming, how would the officer know they’re not simply recording? It seems like this could open a loophole for police to demand any recording stop.

No mention of bystanders. They can just as easily live stream and nobody would know, least of all the cops. What is the point of preventing the driver from live streaming?

This is gets into a really interesting grey area.

Record all of the situations from both sides and accountability improves on both sides. 

New product idea - a dash cam that live-streams interior and exterior views when the driver pushes a button. Cops can’t get angry if they don’t know we are all watching them violate Constitutional rights.
